DEAR TGR-1: Despite its first rate cast — also including Dule Hill and Laverne Cox in TV's first transgender role played by a transgender performer — CBS's "Doubt" was pretty much DOA. It premiered Feb. 15 with an awful 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic, then fell to a 0.6 rating the following week, after which it was pulled by the network, never to return.

DEAR Deangreg8: Peregrym joined the cast of Syfy's action-horror series "Van Helsing" last month as a new regular. She is playing a character named Scarlett Harker, described as a woman with a mysterious past who might help turn the tide against the vampires who are being fought by Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton). They're shooting now in Vancouver and the series is slated to return in the fall.

DEAR STACY: Is Adam Baldwin any relation to the acting family that includes Alec Baldwin? — Nancy H.

DEAR NANCY: No, Adam Baldwin of "Full Metal Jacket," "Angel," "Serenity" and "Chuck" fame is not related to the famous acting clan that includes brothers Alec, Daniel, William and Stephen.

DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to the gal who played the original Daisy Duke on "Dukes of Hazzard"? — Jason, Canton, Ohio

DEAR JASON: Catherine Bach has gone through quite a lot since her heyday as cutoff jeans-clad Daisy (an outfit she invented, by the way). She married her second husband, attorney Peter Lopez, in 1990 and they had two daughters. Sadly, Lopez died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 2010. The actress starred in the Canadian series "African Skies" in the early '90s, guest starred on shows including "Monk" and was seen in small features including "You Again." Since 2012, she has been seen on daytime's "The Young and the Restless" as recurring character Anita Lawson. At 63, she still looks great, and still makes it to an occasional "Dukes of Hazzard" fan conclave.
