Ask Stacy for Feb. 1-2

DEAR STACY: I read that Fran Drescher is playing the stepmother in a Broadway revival of "Cinderella." What happened to her sitcom with the gay ex-husband? — Mary C., New Port Richey, Fla.

DEAR MARY: "Happily Divorced," Drescher's TV Land series inspired by her own life story with ex-husband and show co-producer Peter Jacobson, was cancelled last year. Her stint in "Cinderella," with Carly Rae Jepsen in the title role, opens Tuesday (Feb. 4) and is slated to run until April 13. Drescher also keeps busy with her ongoing crusade for cancer prevention and cure, her Cancer Schmancer Movement organization, and lobbying for such bills as the Carcinogen Free Label Bill currently making its way through congress.

DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to plans for a sequel to the animated feature "Rio"? — Barbara J., Cedar Rapids, Iowa

DEAR BARBARA: "Rio 2" is due in theaters April 11. The whole voice cast is back, including Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez and will.i.am. This time around, we find parrots Blu and Jewel taking a vacay from their three offspring and heading to the Amazon rainforest, where they meet up with her wild papa and threatened habitat woes.

DEAR STACY: Please tell me what Lesley Ann Warren is doing of late. I miss seeing her! — Jason H., Wheeling, W.Va.

DEAR JASON: Warren, who always seems to keep busy, was most recently seen as the mother of Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) in the big screen "Jobs." Upcoming, she has the films "Babysitter" — as the grandmother of young Max Burkholder ("Parenthood") whose divorcing parents are competing for his loyalty — and "The Sphere and the Labyrinth," playing a science-fiction author.

DEAR STACY: An update, please, on Nancy McKeon. When will she be back on TV? — Amy M., Spokane, Wash.

DEAR AMY: My crystal ball is cloudy — the popular actress, who rose to fame as a juvenile on "Facts of Life" and most recently played Demi Lovato's mom on "Sonny With a Chance," does not have any projects in the can, or announced for the future. It appears she is focusing on family life in Austin, Texas, with her husband Marc Andrus and their two children.
