And Now For the Rest of the Story

I love when readers write in to share that special moment when they looked at someone and realized it was love.

We recently heard from Stella, who wrote in to say that back in college, she was dating this "nice guy." She cared for him a lot but knew he wasn't the one for her.

Then, one day he called her to say that he really wanted to see her. It was during finals, and she told him it wasn't a good idea, for she would be holed up in the library all night studying. He asked whether he could see her just for a few minutes. He lived 15 miles away, but even a few minutes with her would be worth the trip. Stella told him to come.

When he got to the library, Stella told him she only had five minutes to spare. She walked him to his car, and just before he got in, he asked her if he could hold her.

Stella described: "When I was in his arms, I knew it was love and he was the one. We've celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. I'm sure glad he was so persistent."

Today, we hear from Stella's husband, the guy who drove 15 miles.

He said: "She said that was when she fell in love. I fell in love with her the first time I saw her at the drive-in we both worked at. She had the sexiest smile, and I loved the way her nose wiggled when she talked and her hips wiggled when she walked.

"Like she said, it's been over 50 years now, and for me she is just as sexy as ever. One time when she was getting ready for church I told her she looked so good that she was going to make guys in church have sinful thoughts.

"Most women her age look like overweight grandmas, but she still looks like the hot babe she always was. And she still turns me on, just like at the drive-in so many years ago."

When was the moment you realized it was love? And on the flip side, when did you realize it was over?
