DEAR STACY: Curious to know whether my friend is right, that Jessica Alba played the young teenage daughter on a "Flipper" remake years ago. — Barbara G., Winnetka, Illinois
DEAR BARBARA: Yes. Alba started out in show business early on as the star of "Camp Nowhere," "The Secret World of Alex Mac" and the 1995 version of dolphin-centric "Flipper" television series before finding grownup fame as the star of James Cameron's "Dark Angel" series of 2000-2002. She graduated high school at 16 and went on to compile credits including "Sin City" and "Fantastic Four."
DEAR STACY: What is Justine Bateman up to lately? — Ray4N
DEAR RAY4N: The actress who rose to fame as Mallory on "Family Ties" continues to act — she popped up in a 2013 "Modern Family," for example — but she also has a lot of other activities, including enrolling at UCLA in 2012 and earning her degree in Digital Management and Computer Science.
DEAR STACY: Whatever became of the actor who played Biff in the "Back the Future" movies? — Grego5
DEAR GREGO5: Though his many, varied other roles may not be as indelible as bully Biff, actor Tom Wilson works all the time. He's guested on numerous shows, and appeared as a recurring character on "Ed," "Freaks and Geeks," "Titus" and "Fired Up," to name a few. He also does a lot of voice work in television and in movies including the "Spongebob Squarepants" movie. Wilson's also a lover of the stage, as an actor and as a comic. And the multitalented Wilson is also an acclaimed artist. Check out his TomWilsonUSA website to see samples.
DEAR STACY: We watched "Madagascar" and are having a difference of opinion. Did Sacha Baron Cohen sing the song "I Like to Move It"? My mom says that's not him singing. — Linda N., Bloomfield, New Jersey
DEAR BEN: Mom is wrong. Cohen himself covered the '90s Reel 2 Real song, "I Like to Move It" in the 2005 "Madagascar."
