DEAR STACY: I would like to know whether Bob Harper of "The Biggest Loser" fame has ever come out as gay. - IHB
DEAR IHB: Yes. Harper came out publicly in 2013, in the Thanksgiving episode of the show. One of the contestants, Bobby Saleem, was struggling with whether to come out to his family, and Harper decided to help by going public himself. As he said, "I want to show Bobby that he doesn't have to live in shame." He told Bobby, "Being gay doesn't mean being weak and being gay doesn't mean you're less than anybody else. It's just who you are." Harper came out to his own family at age 17.
DEAR STACY: Any news on the "Goonies" sequel? Is it actually getting made? — Jeanne P., Columbus, Ohio
DEAR JEANNE: Don't hold your breath. Although and cast members including Sean Astin and Corey Feldman have talked about such a sequel over the past decade, there is nothing concrete. Writer Chris Columbus admitted of figuring out a "Goonies 2" story, "I don't know if we'll ever solve it."
DEAR STACY: "Wipeout" with John Henson was a really fun show. Is it coming back? — Ninetyeight
DEAR Ninetyeight: Not likely. Last year, ABC canceled the show after seven seasons.
DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to Catherine Bach, the gal who played the original Daisy Duke on "Dukes of Hazzard"? — P-wrights90
DEAR P-wrights90: Bach has certainly gone through life's ups and downs since the show's ending 30 years ago. She was married to Angela Lansbury's son, David Shaw, from 1976-1981. She wed entertainment attorney Peter Lopez in 1990 and they had two daughters. Sadly, Lopez died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 2010. She said in an Entertainment Tonight interview that it was a complete shock, that there were no signs her husband of 19 years was depressed. "He was very happy with his family and very proud of his girls. We had a deep love. ... We were together. We were very happy for 19 years." After a career lull, she began her ongoing recurring role of Anita Lawson on daytime's "The Young and the Restless" in 2012. She's also done film work in recent years, including "Chapman" (2013), "Book of Fire" (2014) and the 2015 "The Breakup Girl." She looks beautiful, by the way.
