DEAR STACY: I really like the sound of the singer and song on that Saab commercial that starts with a pine cone dropping. Can you please tell me who does it and whether it's available? — Ben A., Albuquerque, N.M.

DEAR BEN: That's "The Time Is Now" by Asha Ali, available for downloading via iTunes and elsewhere. The beautiful Ethiopia-born Swedish singer earned a Grammy nomination for her self-titled debut album of 2006. Her self-revealing songs are a compelling blend of indie pop and soul.

DEAR STACY: Can you give an update about Molly Ringwald, such as how many children she has and their ages, her marital status and whether she has any projects outside of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager"? I'm a longtime admirer. — Chase M., Brooklyn, NY

DEAR CHASE: Ringwald and her husband, Greek-American writer and book editor Panio Gianopoulos, have three children — Mathilda, who turns 7 next month, and twins Adele and Roman, who were born in July of last year. As viewers of "Secret Life" know, her character has a baby and a grandson on the show. That's a lot of tykes. In fact, Ringwald told me that when show creator Brenda Hampton was trying to decide whether to write her real-life pregnancy into the show, "Brenda said, 'The main thing I'm worried about is that you're going to have babies at home and on the set, and it might be too much for you.'" However, she added, "Luckily, I like babies, so it's all good." With all that going on, time for outside projects has been scarce. Still, with her husband's urging, Ringwald wrote a book that was released this past spring — "Getting the Pretty Back."

DEAR STACY: What did they determine was the cause of death for Gary Coleman? — Louie A., Santa Ana, Calif.

DEAR LOUIE: The 42-year-old one-time child star's death was attributed to the fall he took May 26 at his Utah home — he hit his head, causing a traumatic brain injury. He died May 28. Coleman had suffered from multiple health woes throughout his life, including kidney failure — he had two transplants — a heart problem that required surgery in 2009, followed by pneumonia, and seizures. A seizure may have preceded the fall. An investigation into his death is still under way as this is being written.

DEAR STACY: Where does Anna Paquin of "True Blood" call home nowadays? I know she's originally from New Zealand. Great actress, amazing show. — T.S., Chattanooga, Tenn.

DEAR T.S.: Newlywed (Aug. 21) cast mates Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer reside in Venice, Calif. By the way, the "The Piano" Oscar winner was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and her family moved to Wellington, New Zealand when she was 4 years old.
