DEAR STACY: I read that former "Desperate Housewives" star Nicollette Sheridan is divorcing the man she secretly married last year. Is anything happening in her career? — Wondering, New Port Richey, Florida

DEAR WONDERING: The blond beauty, whose career reached its pinnacle with her vastly popular "Desperate Housewives" portrayal of neighborhood sexpot Edie Britt, has certainly been bogged down by her long legal battle over her dismissal from the primetime soap. Her lawsuit alleged she was assaulted by show creator Marc Cherry, and written out when she complained. Her first trial ended in a hung jury in 2012. Since then, higher courts first approved, then denied her request for a retrial. The California State Supreme Court declined to review her case, and in 2014, the L.A Court of Appeal determined that a decision to grant her a new trial was in error. You certainly can't say she's not persistent. Her 2011 and 2013 movies for The Hallmark Channel are her latest credits.

DEAR STACY: Please give some information about Paget Brewster of "Criminal Minds." What is she doing now? Did she ever marry? — Barbara W., Youngstown, Ohio

DEAR BARBARA: Brewster plays morphine-addicted matriarch Dodo Bellacourt on the way-out-there series "Another Period" on Comedy Central. She also pops up as a guest star on shows like "Modern Family" and "Community" from time to time. She married composer-musician (Whirlwind Heat) Steve Damstra in November of 2014. Damstra is a friend of her former "Criminal Minds" co-star Matthew Gray Gubler.

DEAR STACY: Is Christian LeBlanc of "The Young and the Restless" fame a relative of Matt LeBlanc? — CHISCC

DEAR CHISCC: No, they're not related.

DEAR STACY: Please settle a "trivial" dispute. A friend says that Tommy Rettig, who was on "Lassie," died of a drug overdose as a young adult. I believe he lived to middle age. Who is right? — Boomergirl72

DEAR Boomergirl72: Rettig died of heart failure at age 54 in 1996. Your friend is probably confused by the fact that the one-time child star got into trouble with the law over growing marijuana as a young man. He was a respected software developer for the last 15 years of his life.
