DEAR STACY: I watched "Hail, Caesar!" and just loved Alden Ehrenreich, who played Hobie, the cowboy star. Please tell all about him and where we can see him next. — Nancy678

DEAR NANCY678: You are certainly not alone in your feelings. The very hot 26-year-old actor is in Warren Beatty's "Rules Don't Apply," to be released this November, and also has "The Yellow Birds" with Tye Sheridan, Jack Huston and Jennifer Aniston en route to theaters. This past spring, he landed the much-sought-after title role in "Han Solo: A Star Wars Story," a prequel to the original "Star Wars," for May 2018 release. Ehrenreich was famously "discovered" at age 14 by Steven Spielberg when the director happened to see him in a zany video made for a friend's bat mitzvah party. With Spielberg's assist, he landed roles in "Supernatural" and other shows, and then he landed the role of Vincent Gallo's brother in Francis Ford Coppola's "Tetro." Other movie parts followed — "Stoker," "Beautiful Creatures" and "Blue Jasmine" — playing sensitive characters that couldn't be more different from the lovable doofus Hobie. Single, Ehrenreich hails from Los Angeles and was educated at NYU.

DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to the movie about Hillary Rodham Clinton? — Lauren W., Madison, WI

DEAR LAUREN: Which one? Four planned HRC projects died en route to production. Lionsgate allowed its option to make "Rodham" expire last October with no explanation, though it was made clear that Clinton did not pressure the studio to let go of the project. (Voted onto the 2012 Black List of Hollywood's best unproduced screenplays, it went back to what Clinton was up to as a hotshot young lawyer during the 1970s Watergate scandal.) In 2013, NBC was planning a miniseries starring Diane Lane based on her life and CNN was planning a documentary. Both projects were scrapped after the Republican National Committee voted to bar both networks from their presidential debates in protest. There was also the 2003 project based on Gail Sheehy's Vanity Fair piece about Clinton — that one was at one time expected to star Sharon Stone — but it also stalled before reaching the starting gate.

DEAR STACY: What's up with the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel? — Threerobbs

DEAR THREEROBBS: "Fifty Shades Darker" and the final installment of the big-screen series about a sadomasochistic relationship, "Fifty Shades Freed," were filmed back-to-back this past spring with Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan returning as leads. They're set for release Feb. 10, 2017, and Feb. 9, 2018, respectively.

DEAR STACY: Is it true Bruce Willis is going to do another "Die Hard" movie? I thought he said he wanted to quit before he got too old. — J.D., Chattanooga, TN

DEAR J.D.: Willis is purportedly going to appear in some present-day scenes of a planned prequel movie called "Die Hard: Year One" that will take us into the character John McClane's earlier life as a beat cop, and show his love story with his ex-wife, Holly. The project is still in its formative stages, however, with no casting as yet for young McClane.
