DEAR STACY: How about an update on swoon Dan Stevens? Also, is he married? Children? — Bridget B., Whitefish Bay, Wisonsin
DEAR BRIDGET: The London-born actor, who gained immense fame thanks to "Downton Abbey," has been doing one project after another since his character's demise. He plays a heroin trafficker — complete with American accent — in the late summer-debuting adaptation of Lawrence Block's crime thriller, "A Walk Among the Tombstones." (Liam Neeson also stars, also sounding American.) His "The Guest" psychological thriller premiered at Sundance earlier this year. He has the independent seriocomic "The Cobbler" with Adam Sandler, Dustin Hoffman and Steve Buscemi on the way (no release date set as yet). He plays Lancelot in "Night at the Museum 3" landing in theaters Dec. 19. (Yes!) That's in addition to his turn in "The Heiress" on Broadway with Jessica Chastain. Stevens is married to South African jazz singer cum teacher Susie Hariet, and they have a daughter born in 2009 and a son born in 2012. He had already compiled a lengthy list of theater and on-camera credits in the U.K. before bringing noble heir Matthew Crawley to life on "Downton Abbey."
DEAR STACY: Is there ever going to be a sequel to "Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events"? - Heather N., New Port Richey, Florida
DEAR HEATHER: No such movie is in the works, and star Jim Carrey's been quoted as saying that although he wouldn't be averse to doing one, he doubts it will happen. The 2004 movie made $201,627,000 — on a production budget of $140 million plus another $50 million in promotion and advertising costs. That's apparently not enough incentive to return to the material.
DEAR STACY: I wonder about this every time I see the "created by" credit for Christopher Lloyd on "Modern Family." Is this the "Back to the Future" and "Taxi" star? — Gwen D., Warren, Ohio
DEAR GWEN: No, the prolific TV writer-producer, whose credits include "Frasier," "Wings" and "The Golden Girls," and the inimitable performer are two different Christopher Lloyds.
DEAR STACY: Please settle a trivial question. Who was Matthew Broderick married to before Sarah Jessica Parker? — S.H., Albuquerque, New Mexico
DEAR S.H.: Parker, who wed Broderick in 1997, is his first and only wife. He did have high-profile relationships, however, with names including Helen Hunt, Lili Taylor, Penelope Ann Miller and Jennifer Grey.
