DEAR STACY: I was disappointed to learn that Vanessa Bayer is not returning to "Saturday Night Live." What will she do next? — Jason A., Woodland Hills, California

DEAR JASON: You'll have to stay tuned on that one, since Bayer has made no announcement of her next professional move. I can say that you'll likely see her in NBC's forthcoming Glenn Howerton comedy, "A.P. Bio," in a guest star part on the pilot episode. The show comes from "SNL" family — Mike O'Brien writing, and Seth Meyers and Lorne Michaels producing.

DEAR STACY: What is John Travolta up to these days? Also, any truth to the story that he turned down "Forrest Gump"? — R0MR

DEAR R0MR: If all has gone according to plan, Travolta is in Puerto Rico making "Speed Kills," from John Luessenhop. Mira Sorvino also stars. It's the story of glamorous, fabulously wealthy speedboat racing champion and builder Don Aronow, whose famous Cigarette boats became favorites of folks from heads of state and movie stars to ... drug runners. Aronow's murder led to discovery that he had been leading a double life. As for "Forrest Gump," not only did Travolta turn down the film that became an Oscar-winning cultural treasure with Tom Hanks in the title role, Bill Murray and Chevy Chase turned it down as well.

DEAR STACY: Can you tell me anything about Rachel Bilson joining "Nashville"? — Sammie B., Cleveland, Ohio

DEAR SAMMIE: The one-time "O.C." star is playing a character described as a driven, brilliant and tough Silicon Valley marketing expert who is brought in to help record label Highway 65 — and doesn't like country music. This is Rachel's biggest workload since her 2011-2015 "Hart of Dixie" series, which concluded with the birth of her character's child, in a storyline written around Rachel's real life pregnancy. Her and Hayden Christensen's daughter, Briar Rose Christensen, is now 2 and a half. Where does the time go?
