Things may have been a bit sluggish on daytime in October. All they show on "General Hospital" is Liam and Faith all the time. Where the heck is dollar bill Spencer? There was also Billy acting like a jerk on "The Young and the Restless" and a tepid teen romance on "Days of Our Lives."
November is here in all its sweeps glory. They call it sweeps because that is when the ratings turn into advertising money.
Over on "Y&R," Victor has Billy tumbling down. As always, Billy is his own worst enemy. He had the woman of his dreams in Lily and owned a major media company. Billy wanted to destroy Victor's company. How did he think that was going to go? Victor vs. Billy. On "General Hospital," the hated Peter appears to be back on top. Sadly, that means Jason is on the bottom. That may have to do with Steve Burton, who plays Jason, being written out due to his decision not to get the COVID-19 shot, which was mandated by Disney, the show's parent company. It is a shame. Three-time Emmy winner Burton is a great person, although his stance has me bewildered.
Nov. 22 is the last day for Ingo Rademacher (Jax). He would not get the vaccine. Also, his vile transphobic posts did him in. The write-out of Jason sounds brilliant. It appears to be at the hands of his mind-controlled twin, Drew.
Over at "Days of Our Lives," Mardevil is about to destroy all those in her way. Abe, Paulina and Lani will see their family ties unravel. Ciara and Ben may be having a Rosemary's baby parenthood. On a nice note, Kate and Roman may get together. The missing Sami will pop up.
On "The Bold and the Beautiful," all will be crushed when Jack turns out to be Finns's biological dad.
There are some characters that are missing in action: Wyatt on "The Bold and the Beautiful," and as we said, his pop, Bill. Eric is looking like a fool cutting off Donna because Quinn told him so. Hopefully, this will lead to Quinn going down her nasty road.
Over on "GH," lots more Valentin and Anna: super couple. Over on "Y&R," Jack deserves a romance. On "Bold and Beautiful," more of "I am trying to be good but no one will give me a chance" Deacon.
Sean Kanan has been amazing. The story we really want to see play out on GH is, how will everyone deal with Jason's death and Drew's part in it? Sad to see Jason go as he and Britt were sizzling. Speaking of sizzling, Scott and Liesel love Michael with a backbone. Could Nina just be gone?
