It has been a horrible week for Alec Baldwin due to the fatal shooting on the "Rust" film set. Halyna Hutchins, the film's director of photography, was killed by a gun that Baldwin discharged. Photos of him on the set show how distraught the actor was over the incident, which is still under investigation.
Baldwin's first acting job was on the soap "The Doctors." He played teen terror Billy Aldrich. While he was on the show, most castmates thought he was a wonderful actor but too much to handle. The show was on live, but he always wanted the extra take. The actor sharing the scene could hardly keep it together. They knew what was coming: "I just need one more take."
Jensen Ackles (formerly Eric on "Days of Our Lives"), days before the incident on "Rust," talked about gun safety on the set. Very eerie.
Oftentimes what goes on behind the scenes is stranger than what is on the screen. Case in point: Taylor on "The Bold and the Beautiful." The history between the actors who play Sheila and Taylor is fraught with drama. As long as Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was on the canvas, Taylor (Hunter Tylo) could only be an off-the-screen reference. Not anymore. Krista Allen, (formerly Billie on "Days") is now set to play Taylor. In the beginning, Tylo and Brown were best buds. They were so close that their husbands started a pool cleaning business. When that went down the drain, the wives no longer had the day-at-the-beach friendship. Tylo irritated many co-workers by hacking into their emails. Tylo and Brown claimed they were fearful what the other might do. It got so bad that each felt they needed protection. One of the major actors thought it was a storyline.
Emma Samms (Holly on "General Hospital") is not only gorgeous, she is gracious. The death of her brother caused her to begin the Starlight Children's Foundation, making dreams come true for ailing children. This week has been amazing for her. She married her longtime boyfriend as she battles long-haul COVID symptoms. The almost 40- year-death of former boyfriend Jon-Erik Hexum has been stirred by the "Rust" on-set death of Hutchins. He was on a movie set. He fell asleep waiting to begin his next take. He pointed the gun at his temple, pulled back the hammer and was killed because what he thought was a cold gun was very hot. Samms took to Instagram and said that she thought things had changed in the past four decades but she was wrong.
