Alec Baldwin will be charged with manslaughter in the on-set shooting death of Halyna Hutchins, who was shot while serving as cinematographer on his low-budget movie "Rust." The armorer will also be charged. She was also serving as the prop person. Baldwin got his start playing Billy on "The Doctors." Baldwin claims he did not actually shoot the gun. Sadly, he did shoot off his mouth in the past two years claiming he had inside information from the New Mexico district attorney's office. Perhaps he should not have said that. Baldwin has never been known for his discretion. There was a time he left a message on his daughter's answering machine calling her a "thoughtless little pig." Hopefully Baldwin's attorney will tell him to keep quiet unless he is on the witness stand. No word has been announced if he is going to take the stand. Baldwin could receive probation, or up to five years in prison.
I love all things Pluto. There is Mickey Mouse's dog. My favorite former planet. That idea spearheaded by world-famous astronomer Neil deGrasse-Tyson. "Neil, what the hell was that about? Couldn't you just keep looking at the stars?" Neil sat with many stars until several women claimed inappropriate behavior. But most of all, I love Pluto TV, the free streaming service, which is amazing.
Another death in the daytime TV Community — Quinn Redeker, 87, died Dec. 20. The two-time Daytime Emmy nominee did win an Oscar for co-writing the movie "THE DEER HUNTER." I have a major memory of the actor. It was at a Daytime Emmy award ceremony. Quinn was peeling off $10 bills and handing them to strangers. He winked and said, "Maybe a good deed will help me." It did not. He was a winner in the romance department. Quinn was involved with Deidre Hall (Marlena on "Days of Our Lives").
