Everyone loves star-crossed lover and happy-at-last Anna Bates. Julian Fellow, the show's headwaiter and executive producer of "Downton," says he did not do it "for shock value. I wanted to explore how rape was treated in the 1920s. The victim felt as if she were at fault. Sadly, things are not that different now. It is a story that needs telling."
