DEAR STACY: Selena Gomez was on Instagram talking about a "Wizards of Waverly Place" reunion. Any update? — CYKellye
DEAR CYKELLYE: After the actress/singer — and her former sitcom brother, David Henrie — expressed interest in getting the "Wizards" team back together, show creator Todd J. Greenwald chimed in, tweeting about how he could envision a "Wizards of Waverly Place" feature film. With the principals and creator interested it would seem such a project could get on a fast track. There is nothing concrete as yet, however.
DEAR STACY: In all this Donald Trump frenzy, one voice I haven't heard is Bret Michaels'. Did he ever come out for or against Trump? — Penny M., Clearwater, Florida
DEAR PENNY: No. The Poison rock star and "Celebrity Apprentice" winner went to great lengths trying to stay out of the political fray. However, when pressed, he responded. He told the Tampa Bay Times in December, for instance, that he admired the job done by President Obama, and he also thought Trump would do a great job. "This is the facts: He is our president," he was quoted. "We've got to have his back and go in there and negotiate. Let's make this country great. Let's take it up a notch."
DEAR STACY: Where is Shelley Hack of the old "Charlie's Angels"? You never hear her mentioned in "Angels" stories. — Paulette B., Alpharetta, Georgia
DEAR PAULETTE: The fascinating lady retired from acting in 1997, after accumulating credits in such diverse fare as "The Stepfather" cult horror film, and Martin Scorsese's "The King of Comedy." She then established her international Shelley Hack Media Consultancy company, which has undertaken projects including the transition of Bosnian state television into a public broadcasting entity. She produced political debates abroad and provided public presentation training for politicians. She worked on a campaign for Turkish-Armenian reconciliation through print and television. And she and her husband, Harry Winer, established Smash Media, which develops and produces content for films, TV and new media. The 69-year-old former "Angel" has one daughter, Rose.
DEAR STACY: I have a question about the late Paul Winfield of the movie "Sounder" and the miniseries "King." Did he ever come out? What a gifted actor. — Jan.b.2012
DEAR Jan.b.2012: Winfield, who lived for 30 years with his partner, the late set designer Charles Gillan Jr., never made a public pronouncement of his sexuality, though it was well known among his friends and colleagues.
