Dawn Seamans-Shook

Dawn Seamans-Shook grew up in McLean, Va., and she is the daughter of Andy Seamans, the creator of "The Answer Man" trivia quiz. She attended the University of Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Master of Science in management from Marymount University.

In 2001, she received a commission as an officer in the Virginia National Guard. Dawn spent one tour in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II from January 2004-January 2005 and has worked as a contractor within the Department of Defense since 2001. She is currently a research fellow and senior consultant for a logistics firm in McLean, Va. Dawn has been published in several government studies on logistics, environmental engineering and maintenance within the Department of Defense and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

She lives in Virginia along with her husband and four children. In her spare time, she enjoys running, bicycling, volunteering and attending her children's numerous sporting events.
