"All My Children" could be back on the TV. Not on daytime, but primetime. Kelly Ripa and her real-life husband, Mark Consuelos, met when they starred on "AMC." They're involved in the primetime sequel. No cast has been hired. The duo says there will be some blasts from the past, though they are not naming names of who plans to be on the show. Brian Frons, the former head of daytime, axed the show and "One Life to Live." The cooking shows he replaced them with are no longer airing.
"Days of Our Lives" fans adore Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander (Paul Telfer), though not as much as his award-winning wife, Carmen Cusack, who played the lead in South Pacific and played opposite Tom Hanks in "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood." She has done it all — and all over the world. Her voice is so glorious that it is probably not a coincidence that she shares her first name with the spitfire operatic icon. Better than me telling you, hear for yourself. She is all over YouTube, Broadway and backstage. To see how much Telfer and Cusack adore each other, check out their MedWish performance of "Shallow." It is obvious that there is nothing shallow about their love for each other.
Sadly, this was the last week to see "General Hospital's" Julian (William deVry). Viewers knew he was leaving the show. Would the character be moving away or killed off? Spoiler alert. He does not buy a bus ticket. He also had visions of the great beyond. Duke (Ian Buchanan) offered him a vision of the afterlife. DeVry's seven years on the show allowed him to be a villain, a romantic lead and a desperate man. He made each twist in Julian's life beautiful and captivating. Rooting for Julian to get it right was a constant for viewers. DeVry is back in Canada with his longtime partner, Rebecca Staab. Catch him on Twitter. He does not hold back. He is astute and opinionated. He has posted about the enjoyment he has received from his "General Hospital" assignment. He has let fans know he is looking forward to whatever is next.
He's back on - contract, that is. Since 1993, Bryan Dattilo (Lucas) has been on again off again for "Days of Our Lives." His character has from brat to devoted dad. Lucas has battled with alcoholism and almost been burned alive. From lover to lonely boy. A big March storyline with Sami and Allie is brewing. He will be torn between two high-maintenance women and looking for the love of his life. Dattilo took acting lessons at 9 and got his first gig soon after. With a son who has high-level autism, he raises money for the association.
