Not so tweet. In this year of acrimonious politics, twitter has been cruel. Sadly, soap stars have dealt with it for years. Everything from looks, acting and religion has been taken to task. Recently, two young veteran soap stars took to twitter to say enough already. Kimberly McCullough has played Robin oh GH since she was seven, When she was teen, she would get fan mail — this was long before social media — saying she was too thin. Last week she made a short visit to GH. Twitter blew up with tweets talking about her gaining weight, the actress responded by saying she is in a business where no one fits the picture of what people want. First of all she is not heavy. But let's say she was. How dare anyone hide behind a computer, using fake names to sling hurtful words? It is bullying. The same was done to Heather Tom who plays Katie on Bold and Beautiful. She got her start playing a young Victoria; Katie was a bit erratic for a while. Viewers decided they hated the character and wanted her fired. Tom, the mother of a toddler wanted to know why anyone would want to cost someone their job. Why indeed? There are mean-spirited haters. Here is an idea, use your nasty twitter time to volunteer — deal with things you need to improve; get a pet, a hobby, or better yet — a life.
