If you cannot get enough of Wally Kurth (and who can?), lucky you. You can get a double dose daily. Watch him at 1 p.m. Eastern/Pacific time (12 p.m. Central) as Justin on "Days of Our Lives" on NBC. At 2 p.m. Eastern and 12 p.m. Pacific, tune in to ABC to see Kurth as Ned on "General Hospital." The actor has played each character for decades. When he was under contract at each show he could only do one at a time. He is now recurring on both so he can bounce back and forth between the shows. He also gets to show his acting chops by playing two characters with subtle differences. Justin on "Days" is earnest; Ned can be sarcastic and sardonic. Kurth is thrilled to be doing both. He kidded on Twitter that he hopes viewers do not get tired of him. Never, Wally.
A few other daytime favorites are making happy returns, although many of the appearances are brief. Jerry Douglas, as the ghostly John, pops up on "The Young and the Restless" to help Jack deal with his latest emotional crisis.
Bradford Anderson brings Spinelli back to "General Hospital." It appears to be a short-term stay. Emme Rylan (Lulu, "GH") had a lucky break, but timing is everything. Mixed metaphor intended. Rylan was at home playing with her 4-year-old son, Levi, when his head accidentally made contact with her nose and it broke. The actress is set to undergo surgery. Her character on "GH" will not be missing from action; her recovery period coincides with the show's hiatus.
Everybody knows Kassie DePaiva is a great actress, great singer and all-around great gal. "Days of Our Lives" fans are cheering her return as Eve. The former beauty queen played the feisty Blair on "One Life to Live." DePaiva, who has always been active on Facebook, took to her page to explain her lack of posts in the past few months. The following is her statement:
"I know that I have been quiet lately and I want to let you know what's been going on in my life. I was asked back to play Eve on Days and had begun my exciting return. During the 3 week July hiatus I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and have spent 6 of the last 9 weeks in the hospital. I will continue treatment over the next 3 months. My prognosis is good, I will not likely need a stem cell/bone marrow transplant, and we expect a complete cure. I consider this just a bump in the road. I have amazing prayer warriors, family, and friends that have been extremely supportive and life affirming throughout this.
"I have a strong faith that strengthens me every step of the way. This has been a private matter but with Eve's return coming soon I felt it was time to let my loving fans know what's been going on. The Days and OLTL family love runs deep. Although I'm unable to be 'camera ready' now... my goal is get back to stirring up trouble in Salem soon. Keep me in (your) thoughts and prayers.

If you would like to contribute in some way please go to Cornellleukemia.com and join or contribute to the Leukemia Fighters group you will find on their web site. There is a tremendous need to find exact matches for stem cell/bone marrow.
