Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS) was granted a restraining order against a man she claims has been harassing her on social media platforms for years. According to the legal documents, Oklahoma resident Jon Christopher LuVisi was ordered to stay 1000 feet away from the actress, her home, car, work, and kids' school. Also in the documents, which were filed on June 30, Sweeney claims LuVisi's posts had become increasingly hostile in recent months, even alleging that the two had an affair. In the court documents, Sweeney's lawyer alleges that the actress "has suffered significant emotional distress, lack of sleep and fear for the safety of herself and her family, including her children, resulting from the defendant's repeated harassment and threats." TMZ first reported the news; LuVisi claims he was cat fished and thought he was having a viral affair with Sweeney. There is no rest for the wicked, and Sami certainly is wicked. Days after ending "Days," Sweeney, who is not wicked, began filming her latest mystery movie for the Hallmark network.
Those of you who are not enjoying the current "Days of Our Lives" storylines are about to be put out of their misery. Dena Higley's reign as the show's head writer ends next week. Frank Carlivati's work starts airing July 19. With the show taped six months ahead, the cast and crew know what is happening. They are not telling. Carlivati did tweet that everything is about to change. Carlivati loves to tweet, and his tweets are worth reading. Sometimes he offers a storyline tidbit; sometimes he responds to critics.
Ian Buchanan is headed back to "The Bold and The Beautiful." His character, Dr. Warwick, is hired by Eric to see if Sheila is emotionally stable. Eric, you do not need the good doctor to tell you that Sheila is a mental mess. Look at her past deeds and her present chilling looks. Actually it is Eric who needs his head examined. John McCook — who plays Eric — pulled it off. McCook once told me if a story had him crawling under a piano and howling at the moon he would do it and make it work. After all, there was the time when Eric wore a toga and crown of laurel. He made it work. Michael Logan of "TV Guide" revealed that Buchanan starts taping next week and will begin airing in August.
William Devry (Julian "General Hospital") and the network are still trying to work out a contract. So far, the talks have stalled. Things could change; GH and Roger Howarth (Franco) were at loggerheads until they were not. Do not let the Soap Opera Digest cover saying Kin Shriner (Scott) is leaving fool you. That is good news, because in every scene Shriner offers an amazing range from sad to shady to silly. Not only is he a great actor — he is a great guy. For the forty years he has been on the show one of the endearing things he does is change his hairstyle. It often looks like a chia pet. His scenes with Ava, Sonny, Laura, Lucy and Bobbie are always refreshing.
