He's back: Stefano from "Days of our Lives" has more lives than the proverbial cat. Next week he shows up in Prague. Sadly, Joe Mascolo, who played the arch-villain, died last year at 87. On February 9, we will get to see his last work on "Days," as the show is taped six months in advance. Marlena locates Stefano and he is arrested. Since neither nether bombs nor bullets can keep Stefano down, certainly a mere jail cell cannot contain him. Stefano breaks out, and nobody can find him. Everyone will wonder when and if he will pop up, and I know Moscolo would love that. Stefano does not need to be seen to create terror... he can pop up in flashbacks.

While the internet series the Bay is busy collecting several daytime Emmy nominations, a former producer may be collecting prison time.? Andre Salaman Bautista in "Landlord."

According to the Los Angeles District Attorney's office, Daytime Emmy-winning producer Andre Salamen Bautista had been found guilty of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. The stabbing took place in September 2015, and followed an argument about the producer's Oscar-winning potential.

The incident occurred in Bautista's Studio City, California, home after his tenant, Clayton Haymes, laughed when he talked of his Oscar aspirations,

"When he said 'five Oscars,' [my roommates and I] all just kinda laughed a little bit, and he got really upset," Haymes told CBS that Batista then chased him and swung a kitchen knife at him before ultimately stabbing him in a lung.

"I was terrified for my life. I'm just happy to be alive," Haymes "I just don't understand why he would want to do this to me 'cause we're friends... I just saw a different person that night, and I'm just scared that I'll see that person again."

Bautista — who uses the name Andre Bauth — had previously produced an independent project about a landlord who killed his tenants. According to IMDB, both he and Haymes starred in the movie, El Landlord. A trailer for the film has since made its way online.

After the stabbing, he fled to Mexico, during which time he found the opportunity to send an email to his industry representatives.

"I guess all of you already know about the unfortunate occurrence "Finally the Media present my self as the Emmy Winner and talk about my life and career. Because of something negative is on my curriculum. So sad to see the reality of Fame and what the Hollywood industry is looking for... I am famous now due to this incident. So any professional ideas are welcome here."

His agent's advice was to surrender and get a good lawyer, which Bautista ultimately did... Bautista was then flown back to Los Angeles, charged, and booked in jail with bail set at $550,000.

While Haymes was in recovery, L.A. Weekly reported that Bautista's victim texted his agent, "Do you think I can find new theatrical rep with this or does this video not help me?" Searching for the grim silver lining, he added, "There's over 1,100 articles about this its [sic] in the United Kingdom and Germany I would love to turn this negative painful time into something positive and to smile about."

Bautista could receive up to 13 years in state prison when he is sentenced March 22.

"I wanted always to be famous, but not famous like this," Bautista told L.A. Weekly. "I won an Emmy... and nobody talks about it. But I make one mistake — I guess that's how Hollywood works.
