I would love to see Jack Wagner's (Nick on "Bold and Beautiful") horoscope. Maybe I believe in astrology, maybe I don't. I'll keep that the only thing I have not revealed about myself in this column.
Back to Wagner. His past few months have gone like this: While doing a cruise with Rick Springfield (Noah on "General Hospital"), a young woman comes up to him and says, "You're my daddy." Seems her mom and Wagner had a fling. Pregnant by Wagner, she did not reveal her pregnancy.
How is that for a Justin Bieber switch? A woman who claims to be carrying the child of a star not going to the tabloids? Wagner has been said to have embraced his long-lost daughter. Next up for Wagner was his broken engagement to Heather Locklear. When the break came, we got the usual "we will always be friends" PR statement.
With friends like these, who needs enemies? Recently, Locklear was rushed to the hospital for what appeared to be a drug overdose. The tabloid press pointed to Locklear's continued use of drugs and alcohol. The reports also said Wagner had been trying to help Locklear with her substance abuse. Unable to get Locklear to agree to going in for rehab, Wagner decided to end the relationship. It was not a pretty break-up. It has been said that Wagner dumped all of Locklear's things at her home. A fight ensued. Wagner says Locklear became physical. The "he said-she said" is going to be decided by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, before which the former couple will appear.
If I were a soap writer scripting Wagner's storyline, I would let the character marinate in these issues. Since life is often more complicated than soap, the travails continue. After an eight-year stint, Wagner has not had his contract renewed with "Bold and Beautiful." This is no surprise, as his mom Jackie (played by Lesley Anne Down) and her ex-husband Owen (Brandon Beemer) were taken off contract last week, along with Zack Conroy (Oliver). The cuts of these major players means "B&B" will have lots of room in its budget for other major players. Literally hundreds of thousands of dollars have been cut from the budget by downsizing or totally getting rid of these performers.
If other soap names are brought in, here is hoping "B&B" does not hire major talent and then doing nothing with them. Recent examples are Rick Hearst (Rick), Sarah Joy Brown (Agnes) and even Joe Mascolo (Papa Marone). In case you are into such things, Wagner is a Libra with lots of Scorpio and Virgo in his chart.

Get ready for a bittersweet goodbye to Robin on "General Hospital." It appears that the character that has literally grown up on the show will be killed off. This is not GH's fault. Kimberly McCullough, who also grew up on the show, did not renew her contract, as she wanted to focus on her love — directing. McCullough studied film and directing at NYU's famed film school.
Lots of major characters from Robin's past will be back on the canvas for the write-out. Emma Samms (Holly), Tristan Rogers (Scorpio) and Finola Hughes (Anna) are on the list for the tearful goodbye.
