If you've still got some stylish guys and gals on your holiday gift list, get ready to get easy access to fun presents that you (hopefully) won't need to return. Give the gift of fashionable accessories ... one size fits all. Here are a few ideas to finish off your checklist.
— Sock it to 'em. Yes, it may be hard to imagine socks being exciting holiday gifts, but if you haven't taken a look around at some of the ankles peeking out around you lately, then you need to take a moment to look down ... and not at your phone. Socks have become one of the coolest accessories for all ages. Find the socks that express the perfect personal touch for those on your gift list, whether it's a pair with a tie-dye, psychedelic pattern for grandpa who is still reminiscing about the '60s (Bombas), a pair with "Bob's Burgers" hilarious antics (Amazon) or a pair of festive reindeer socks for toddlers (Macy's).
— Heads up. You've already knocked their socks off ... why not give them a heads up with some jazzy winter headgear? From the trendy pompom beanies (check out Kate Spade's colorful versions) to newsboy caps like the ones favored by Taylor Swift (Farfetch) to — ooh la la! — French berets at Target. Or how about a "real" Irish herringbone wool cap handcrafted by Irish weavers in Dublin (The Irish Store)?
— Beauty buffs. Don't let the men in your life fool you; they love a little pampering, just like us girls. There are lots of beauty accessories available for anyone on your list, whether it's a creamy hand cream made from fragrant ingredients from the south of France at L'Occitane; a cooling, rose quartz face massage roller that detoxifies post-holiday puffiness (Goop); or a collection of soothing lip balms made from pure goat milk for dry lips at Beekman 1802. For all those makeup divas on your list, check out Sephora's Winter Eyes eye shadow palette with 16 yummy colors.
— Open the jewelry box. Who doesn't like a special piece of jewelry? At all price points, jewelry is one of the most unique gifts you can give. Think trendy or traditional. Fashionistas can collect oversized dangling earrings or a new pair of ear climbers (Bonito). Tassel pendant necklaces also make great accessory gifts. Multichain choker necklaces are always welcome, since layering is a big jewelry trend this year. Diamond stud earrings are more traditional gifts (and a little pricier), along with pearl rings (bigger is better!), colored gemstone pieces and fine watches. It's best to shop your local jeweler for assistance with these kinds of gifts, which are sure to be forever keepsakes.
— Wrap it up. Some of my all-time favorite gifts are scarves, wraps and stoles. One size does fit all, and most women, kids and men love a cozy knit muffler or beautiful cut-velvet shawl. Cashmere always makes a fabulous present, and faux fur is a fashion must-have for the holidays. Check out the collection at Neiman Marcus or, for kids, Gap.
