Kitty Cat Conjunction

Mercury and Venus come together for a kitty cat conjunction, a playful, flirty aspect with outcomes to match. It should be noted that cats flirt differently from many animals. They show their interest by brushing up against the object of their affection, then they keep moving. Cats may circle back but they don't linger. Luck will do the same today.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). If you could just do the essential actions, the task would take half the time, but it's hard to tell which steps are necessary until you watch a pro. What works for this person will work for you too.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). The receptivity of others will strongly effect your mood, so get around people who laugh at your jokes and listen well too. Note that those who can't appreciate their own experiences won't be able to appreciate anyone else's.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). What you do every day would be an unforgettable adventure to many others. This information may not help you feel any differently, but if you leave your routine and do something completely new, you will get your verve back.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Don't punish yourself for having strong feelings. They are inconvenient at times, and harder to wrangle than their milder cousins, but you're somehow more alive because of these passions.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You stand out as charismatic, which for you is easy. For starters, you're not staring at a screen. People look into your eyes and feel a sense of trust. The warmth you radiate makes them want to open up to you.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). An introduction will be featured. First impressions will indicate what is to come. You might be surprised by how you tell your story. It's an evolving history. The events are the same, but your take on them has shifted.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Socializing isn't hard once you realize it's all about answering the very human need to be seen and heard. Also, you're aware that people generally want validation more than they want honesty, which will factor into your responses.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You will connect with people with whom you have little in common. A good match of intensity levels will be the secret sauce of social ease. By meeting people at their tone level, you'll influence, persuade and win them.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Today you are well-matched socially, professionally and personally, which makes everything easier. Be sure to value yourself. The help you can deliver effortlessly would be so difficult — if not impossible — for another person to give.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Poet Wendell Berry writes, "There are no unsacred places; there are only sacred places and desecrated places." Even so, it is difficult to honor a sense of sacredness you don't feel. Learn more about a place and you'll start to.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Give yourself the gift of a vision. Picturing your ideal future is a feat of imagination worth putting effort into, as dream can pull you forward and make you aware of what you need to do to get to where you want to be.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're determined to solve a problem and solve it you will. The game will change. Tomorrow you will not struggle with the same things that are frustrating for you today.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 27). You'll follow your interests and get connected with all you need. Friendship and love in abundance will be the theme that sparkles up your year. More highlights: Luck will be tied to helping family. You'll handle the adoration heaped on you with modesty. Your brilliant solutions will impress higher-ups, which will lead to an interesting change of direction for your work. Gemini and Aquarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 14, 4, 48 and 31.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: As the daughter of famous musicians, Maya Rudolph has entertaining in both her DNA and her stars. Rudolph's natal sun, Mercury and Mars are all in Leo, the sign of show business. Her moon in Aquarius shows madcap creativity and a generous, philanthropic heart. Listen for Rudolph in the all-star cast of "Imaginary Friends," the new comedy written and directed by her real friend, John Krasinski.
