And like Comey, he's getting hours and hours of airtime to sell laughable notions, like the idea that the FBI has been utterly nonpartisan.

This man will say anything. Truth means nothing. He's worse than Comey. It barely matters to his interviewers that he was fired from the top of the FBI for ... allegedly lying his face off to the FBI. The Justice Department inspector general, Michael Horowitz — appointed by former President Barack Obama, not President Trump — charged McCabe with lying three times under oath about having leaked to the newspapers, and not for a national security reason, just to make himself look good. While the media relish the idea of jail time for Trump aides caught lying to investigators, this man gets a red carpet and a pat on the back.

McCabe's book tour has created headlines like this, from a CNN interview: "McCabe: It's Possible Trump Is a Russian Asset." Let's be blunt. This is as credible as birtherism. It's exactly as responsible and reliable as broadcasting a headline that says, "Trump: It's Possible Obama Was Born in Kenya." McCabe is the Jussie Smollett of the Justice Department.
Updated: Fri Feb 22, 2019
9148da052a599ec9537cfdeebfe1ab01 Smollett And the 'Fakes First' Media for 02/20/2019 https://www.creators.com/read/brent-bozell/02/19/smollett-and-the-fakes-first-media Wed, 20 Feb 2019 00:00:00 -0800
The left would expect mere mortals to understand that as opposed to them, the left rises above the rumormongering and misinformation of social media. As with so much else regarding the left, that's nonsense. It cuts, pastes and amplifies the unsubstantiated ardor of liberal Twitter, Facebook and Instagram at will — if it advances the narrative. See the case of Jussie Smollett, actor/singer in the Fox hip-hop drama "Empire."

Smollett's "MAGA country" hate-crime hoax is just the latest example. Coming on the heels of the smears of Covington Catholic High School MAGA hat-wearing teens, we must conclude the left is too blind, or too stupid, or maybe just doesn't give a hoot. Nothing says "viral" like a black gay celebrity claiming he was beaten by Trumpster thugs. For two weeks, the left went nuts. Celebrities took to the celebrity talk shows, politicians to the political talk shows and the "news" media to the "news" media to denounce racist conservative Trump World. Now the actor's "modern-day lynching" narrative, as Sen. Cory Booker declared it, has imploded. As we've come to expect, the arrogant defenders of the "high-quality news organizations" are once again refusing to take responsibility for the gasoline they tossed on the fire.

See "Reliable Sources" host Brian Stelter of the so-called "Facts First" network. On the other hand, the war to define — or, better put, redefine — American culture has never been more ferocious. Its militancy has reached the point where many on the libertine-left media are aggressively, and quite publicly, demanding that parents abide by their worldview or be ostracized from polite company. And what an ugly worldview it is.

On Jan. 30, NBC's "Today" show devoted a segment to an allegedly controversial Instagram post by Carey Hart, a former Motocross rider and the husband of pop star Pink. He posted a video of his 7-year-old daughter, Willow, shooting a rifle at the range and wrote this caption: "Haven't poked the parent police bear in a few days. Willz and I shooting the 22 rifle. She is getting pretty good. Can hit a 12 inch pie plate from 30 yards. Started her shooting at 3yrs old." Hart said his family doesn't hunt, just shoots for sport. "I'm raising the kids with knowledge of fire arms, how to handle them, shoot them, store them, and avoid them in uneducated hands. #knowledgeispower."

NBC's Kristen Dahlgren warned: "The response was swift. W. Cooke writes, "Sometimes consciously, but most often unwittingly, journalists treat Democrats as normal and Republicans as abnormal and proceed accordingly in their coverage." To put that another way, the "news" routinely suggests the Republicans are wildly ideological and out of the mainstream, and that the Democrats are exceedingly reasonable and in sync with public opinion.

Take The New York Times. On Jan. 26, it warned that President Trump met with "a delegation of hard-right activists led by Ginni Thomas," the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. This was painted as controversial because Mrs. Thomas is, well, extreme. And she's married to You Know Who. "A vocal conservative, Ms. Thomas has long been close to what had been the Republican Party's fringes," The Times wrote.

Now try to imagine The Times writing in high dudgeon about former President Obama or Hillary Clinton meeting with people on "the Democratic Party's fringes." For eight years, Obama entertained every leftist group imaginable. And yet The Times can't find a "fringe" on that side of the partisan aisle. The day after the paper nearly fainted over Ginni Thomas, it gushed over hard-left Sen. Kamala Harris's announcement of a presidential run in her hometown of Oakland, California.
Updated: Wed Jan 30, 2019
dc8c37631c23c396b26725ab0d103889 The NFL Recovers From Kneeling Frenzy for 01/25/2019 https://www.creators.com/read/brent-bozell/01/19/the-nfl-recovers-from-kneeling-frenzy Fri, 25 Jan 2019 00:00:00 -0800

The National Football League is back on top of the ratings heap after both conference championship games were so competitive they spilled into overtime.

Sunday's New England Patriots-Kansas City Chiefs game drew 53.9 million viewers to CBS — a shocking 27 percent increase from last year and the most-watched NFL game outside of the Super Bowl in five years. The affirmation also became the "news hook" for press interviews with the director and the actors to weaponize it politically.

Sadly for them, only actor Christian Bale won an award, for gaining 40 pounds and talking out of the side of his mouth like the Penguin in a Batman movie. This year's Golden Globes were refreshingly devoid of obnoxious left-wing fulminating — except for Bale. He felt it appropriate to sneer as he accepted his award, "Thank you to Satan, for giving me inspiration on how to play this role." He also joked he will now portray a series of "charisma-free a—holes," possibly Sen. Mitch McConnell. At least it's amusing that Bale won the award for best actor in a musical or comedy. No one should be confused about whether this film is based in reality ... even though the commercials claim it is.

The Hollywood left has convinced itself that somehow Cheney is the lowest form of immoral human slime, a war criminal worse than Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden combined. "Vice" screenwriter and director Adam McKay, a self-described socialist whose filmmaking resume bursts with Will Ferrell comedies like "Anchorman," even placed Cheney above President Trump on the liberal Evil Meter. The death of every man, woman and child in the Iraq War was President George W. Bush and Dick Cheney's fault.
