Though you're well on your way into the new season, today's events may feel like more of the same — not true! It's a crucial time for deciding how you'll perceive your world. If you get stuck, model yourself after those who continue to look for what's interesting, funny, novel, poetic, romantic, dazzling, mysterious and enchanting.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Before a vision can materialize, you need to take a leap of faith. You may feel frightened, but when you know down deep that you're doing the right thing, you must move ahead.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Cover all your bases, research your alternatives and cite your sources. Like a tigress, you're stalking your prey, ready to spring at precisely the right moment.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The nuts and bolts of life are taking most of your attention. Watch 'em too closely, and your mind gets too tight, but ignore the essentials, and things fall apart. A partner makes it better.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Constantly checking your e-mail is a great way to stay in procrastination mode, especially when no one else is online. Stop avoiding the inevitable. Put your energy into that conundrum you're about to crack.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). When people disappoint you, it's easy for you to cut them out of your life, at least momentarily, in your mind. But life's not so black and white; it's a rainbow prism. Receive the whole color spectrum.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (March 22). Hello, new year — hello, new you! Your mission is to bump up the joy a few notches. You find someone to inspire, coach and facilitate a change in April, and later in the year you'll do the same for someone else. This summer, being organized is the key to making money hand-over-fist. You're particularly compatible with Leo and Sagittarius people. Lucky numbers are: 40, 2, 24, 21 and 53.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Step away from your work. This is hard to do when you're in high output mode, but also strangely therapeutic. This flips the switch, inspiring a burst of new energy.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You're a softie for a good sob story, especially if it has a bittersweet ending. Engross yourself in a tragic tale. Someone else's plight gives you insight into the deep mystery of you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The beauty you've been seeing in someone isn't a fleeting apparition; it's a 100-percent given. Put your trust in the givens instead of the circumstances. Circumstances are far less reliable than character.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). A work entanglement has all the ease of a 100-page legal document — it's hard to understand without a translator. So get a translator. A Libra person will do just fine.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). The cosmic banker places a deposit in your account. Perhaps you have a hidden benefactor, secret income stream or refuge of good old-fashioned elbow grease to set financial gears into quick motion.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You're raring to make the world right — peace, love and harmony for the people. Get together with a group of like minds. This can be done without leaving the house — hurray for the telephone and the Internet.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're working behind the scenes to pull off an epic showing for your boss or someone whose opinion matters a lot to you. It's OK to work in the spotlight, too, you know. It may even be more effective.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "Never one to go from relationship to relationship, I haven't been in a serious mutual relationship since my marriage broke up five years ago. As a Pisces, born March 6, 1964, I think I'm ready for a serious relationship, but I'm not sure. I was seeing someone, a Taurus, but he ended things. Even though he was mean and not too involved, I still have very strong feelings for him."

After a careful look at your chart, I don't think you're ready for a so-called "serious relationship," but I would advise a humorous relationship, a whimsical relationship or a relationship that could never work out in a million years, followed by a relationship that lasts approximately three weeks. In other words, lighten up! As a Pisces, you can relate to people from all walks of life, at least for a limited period of time, and what you'll learn about yourself in the process will give you the confidence to trust your choices when it's really important. Your tendency to attach to people (even if they're mean and aloof) is just a bad habit that comes from not having enough choices. Use the next four months to be more casual in your approach to dating, resolving to make new friends and share interesting environments with the opposite sex instead of looking for a lifelong mate.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Anchorman/talk-show host/journalist extraordinaire, Bob Costas gives thoughtful commentary born out of his genuine curiosity for life. Aries, being the babe of the zodiac, is able to see with fresh eyes and a mind full of questions as to how things really work. Costas also has a quick Aquarian lunar aspect in his chart, so his synapses are always firing — perfect for live television.
