DEAR STACY: I was sorry to see Jenna Elfman's "Accidentally on Purpose" series die so fast. What is she up to now? — S.D., West Haven, Conn.
DEAR S.D.: She's in the big-screen comedy "Friends with Benefits," with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, due for release next July. She's also been kept plenty busy by her two sons with husband Bodhi Elfman — Easton, who was born this past March, and Story Elias, born in July 2007.
DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to plans to remake Dudley Moore's "Arthur"? Also, when did Moore pass away and what was the cause? — Julia W., Wichita, Kan.
DEAR JULIA: The remake of that 1981 comedy wrapped production this summer, with Russell Brand as the loveable sot, and Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner and Nick Nolte also starring. Moore died in 2002 at the age of 66 after years of battling a rare degenerative brain condition called progressive supranuclear palsy. The cause of death was pneumonia.
DEAR STACY: I just watched the wonderful movie "Simon Birch" and would love to know whatever became of the little boy who played the hero. Can you give an update? — Wendy P., Columbus, Ohio
