(Sung to the tune of 'Jesus Loves Me,' Anna B. Warner, 1860)

George Bush loves me! This I know,
His SCHIP veto tells me so.
Little ones to him belong;
They are weak, but he is strong.

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
For his veto tells me so.

Why should health care get the ax?
To spare Big Tobacco a cigarette tax?
Corporations get relief;
Ten million kids just got more grief.

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
For his veto tells me so.

Defense contractors got no bids,
But not another cent for American kids.
Socialized medicine is an enemy,
In the home of the brave and land of the free.

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
His veto tells me so.

Pelosi couldn't get the votes
To help insure more little folks.
Not enough Republicans crossed the aisle
To help the working poor's kids live to smile.

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
For his veto tells me so.

As usual, politics rules the day;
So the House minority got its way.
Compassionate conservatives all agree,
Not funding health care keeps us free.

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
For his veto tells me so.

McCaskill tried to raise the bar,
And Stark showed how mean some Republicans are.
But the GOP only has deep pockets
For Blackwater, Halliburton, nukes and rockets.

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
For his veto tells me so.

The Decider showed that kids don't matter,
That Democratic opposition is mindless chatter.
The majority vowed another fight;
As young folks like to say, "Yeah, right!''

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
For his veto tells me so.

First Katrina and now this.
That guy in the Oval knows ignorant bliss.
You'd think after Cunningham and all those crooks,
The hawks and hypocrites would quit their dirty looks.

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
For his veto tells me so.

Talk about leaving kids behind!
It's something this president doesn't mind.
Remember when he thought Mandela was dead?
The War President seems touched in the head.

Refrain:
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
Yes, George Bush loves me!
His veto tells me so.

So, you want to give Bush the distinction of replacing Jesus as deity. I suppose, from this, that you think he is all powerful. But, he lacks two other characteristics, omnipotence and omnipresence. In my opinion, the SCHIP bill would have diminished individual responsibility for children and added to the $4 trillion that is already redistributed out of the $14 trillion US economy on an annual basis. One might argue that a little more for the little ones would not hurt, but does every perceived distressed subsegment of the population deserve federal control? Where is the ditty condemning the evils of higher taxes, bigger government, and less freedom of choice? Perhaps you could debase MLK's "We shall overcome" with a few strains.
