Poor Rice, Washington Definitions and Nudity

Comment

Dear Mark: Partisan politics is driving me nuts. I thought that after the election the race-baiting would cool off. Now the left is claiming the attacks on Ambassador Susan Rice concerning her Benghazi remarks are racist and sexist. Isn't this a little ridiculous? — Big Bad Bill

Dear Big: President Obama and his fellow bra burners can't have it both ways. Either women are equally as capable as men and hence ready to absorb the criticism that comes with high-profile positions or they are not. If poor defenseless Susan Rice can't handle criticism from a couple of Republican senators, then what the heck is she doing as our U.N. ambassador where she has to deal with some the world's most corrupt and unscrupulous despots?

It's curious how the left never whined racism or sexism when Sarah Palin, Condoleezza Rice, or Michele Bachmann were mercilessly attacked. But then again, conservatives have more faith that their women can defend themselves when the heat is turned up.

Come to think of it, the left didn't use this tactic when conservatives were critical of Hillary Clinton or Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Could it be because Ambassador Rice is black? Or could this just be a smoke screen to cover up the fact that the administration sent Rice out to lie about the Benghazi attacks before the election?

Dear Mark: I must be the only one confused by the sequestration issue. It seems that if the government spends $1 trillion more than it takes in each year ($10 trillion per decade) and Congress and the administration are searching for an agreement that saves $1.8 trillion over 10 years; doesn't that leave us with a debt increase of $8.2 trillion over 10 years? Or is their definition of a decade different than 10 years? — Marv from Georgia

Dear Marv: There you go again, using common sense and simple math, which apparently doesn't exist in Washington.

Don't forget that President Obama's only solution to save the economy is to raise taxes on those making over $200,000. Not only will that hurt the economy by punishing the job creators, but that increase doesn't even reduce the country's yearly deficit by a single percentage point.

What bothers me even more is the failure of the media to hold this administration and other liberals like Harry Reid accountable for their proposals — or in many cases lack thereof. The question seems pretty easy to ask: "Mr. President, raising taxes on the so-called wealthy only reduces the deficit by 1 percent. What is your plan to reduce the remaining 99 percent?" I didn't even have to go to journalism school to come up with that one.

President Obama and Congress are probably relieved to have the Israel and Hamas battle in the headlines, as opposed to the farce the fiscal cliff debate is becoming. Liberals seem happy about war when it overshadows the ineptitude that their leaders are exhibiting.

As for the definition of decade, definitions in Washington generally become whatever is politically expedient or will do the most damage to one's political foe. Washington changes definitions more often than Kim Kardashian changes boyfriends.

Dear Mark: I say hooray to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors who voted down public nudity except during special events. Who would've thought? — Proud Mary

Dear Proud: My thoughts on public nudity are simple: If you look like Kathy Ireland, nudity allowed. If you look like a sack of Irish potatoes, nudity not allowed. My wife says if you look like Daniel Craig ... well you know the rest.

One of Marks "correspondents writes: "I thought that after the election the race-baiting would cool off. Now the left is claiming the attacks on Ambassador Susan Rice concerning her Benghazi remarks are racist and sexist. Isn't this a little ridiculous?"

This idiot Levy, who really doesn't deserve the dignity of a response, rebuts himself in only three sentences. You see, the stuff that was supposed to end "after the election" was precisely the "attacks." But Levy in his bubble habit of pointing at the mirror and swearing he's looking at the enemy, thinks the attacks are supposed to continue without firing back.

Reminds me of the Islamists who think the attacks on Israel are supposed to be accepted without firing back. Pretty much the same thing. Glad he's only firing words and not bullets or missiles--but give clueless nitwits like him time. They may come to be less and less distinguishable from those anti-civilization radicals in the middle east.

Re: Masako... If he wasn't shooting blanks he would be history by now, and no loss...You know; I never give advice to bridegrooms though I may have lots to offer... I do some times ask if they know which side they are supposed to point in their wife's direction... If all they show their wives are their ass, their wife may be inclined to think that is all they are; only an ass...So many of these republican candidates and pundits only want to show the world the republican ass...They lost the election, and now they want to deprive the president of an advsior he is comfortable with, and trusts... He could take a defeat on this and come out empowered and smeling like a rose...It is because he gave the republicans a chance to show their ass side to America once again, and they took the opportunity...
They should think: Let Mrs. Rice become Secretary of State, and then if she is found culpable in some devious cover up of profound perfidity, it would be so much more humiliating to force her resignation... This is an example of the way governments which are supposed to result in some good grind themselves to clay in the process of ego satisfaction...
Thanks...Sweeney
