Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama wants you — to redistribute your wealth.
In Obama's highly publicized encounter with Joseph Wurzelbacher — aka “Joe the Plumber” — the candidate said he wanted to use taxpayers' money to “spread the wealth.” A gutsy local Orlando television anchor interviewed Democratic vice presidential contender Joe Biden:
Anchor: “You may recognize this famous quote: ‘From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.' That's from Karl Marx. How is Senator Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?”
Biden: “Are you joking? Is this a joke?”
Anchor: “No.”
Biden: “Or is that a real question?”
Anchor: “That's a question.”
The none-too-happy Biden denied that Obama wants to “spread the wealth” — even though Obama used that exact term. When later given a chance on “Good Morning America” to retract, refute or moderate the statement he made to Joe the Plumber, Obama stood his ground.
Co-host: “Any regrets that you ... said ‘spread the wealth'?”
Obama: “Not at all. Look, if John McCain's best argument is that he wants to continue the same Bush tax cuts for the very wealthiest Americans … it will prevent the economy from recovering.”
Now comes a 2001 Chicago radio interview with then Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama. “If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court,” said Obama, “… the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth … It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution.”
Redistribution of wealth? Essential constraints?
Calling it congressional overreach, the Supreme Court routinely struck down major portions of considered Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal. They considered it an assault on the Constitution. Only when FDR threatened to “pack” the court with New Deal-friendly justices, did the court crumble and begin to interpret the Constitution through the eyes of Roosevelt's collectivist eyes.
The framers of the Constitution expected a limited federal government. They viewed the Constitution as a contract between citizens and government, designed to restrain the fed from undue intrusion into our bedrooms and our wallets.
For example, the father of the Constitution, James Madison, vehemently objected to a 1792 congressional appropriation of $15,000 to assist some French refugees. Madison wrote, “I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.”
But rarely does a politician — even a leftist Democrat — flat-out say he intends to take money out of Pocket A and put it into Pocket B in order to “spread the wealth.” Usually politicians justify the money and power grab by calling it an “investment.” Or they falsely and unconstitutionally call things like health care, education or job training “civil rights.”
The issue to Obama turns not on whether government exists to redistribute the wealth, but on how it should be done. But he intends for it to be done.
Expect an Obama presidency to try and “spread the wealth” in two ways — through Congress and through the courts. He first wants to raise taxes — income, payroll, capital gains, dividends and estate — on the so-called rich. After all, he calls this a matter of “neighborliness.” Biden calls it a matter of “patriotism.” Second, Obama wants to appoint judges who view the Constitution not as a contract, but as an obstacle to circumvent. “We need somebody who's got the heart, the empathy,” he said, in describing his standards for Supreme Court justices, “to recognize what it's like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that's the criteria by which I'm going to be selecting my judges.”
Through the fed's so-called “bailout” of private firms and private actors — with the approval of both Democrats and Republicans — we now witness the greatest increase in federal power since the New Deal. More horrifying, America now stands on the brink of electing a filibuster-proof collectivist Democrat Congress with a nakedly collectivist Democrat president leading the charge.
Wurzelbacher told me that he plans to campaign — at his own request — for John McCain. Why? He calls Obama's “spread the wealth” plan “scary.”
Wish we could say it ain't so, Joe.

I love reading Larry Elder's writings and his book. He helps me truly understand what it means to be an Uncle Tom. He also follows the Republican talking points regarding the labels that are put on Obama. Truly a Stupid Black Man. Hopefully Elder will get to answering why the Republican party continues to try to disenfranchise Black Americans during a natioinal election as they are trying now with intimidation, threats , and voter fraud. He can't blame ACORN for all of that.
I also wonder how Elder would feel going to a McCain rally and being the only African American in the crowd , what he feeels when the slurs against Obama start flying. Where is his sense of conservatism when he's truly seen as a nigger in the eyes of the right wing. At least have the courage to address them and fight like Fannie Lou Hamer did with the racist dixiecrats or Colin Powell did with his endorsement of Obama. I hope he stops being a house nigger soon and sees the light.

Based on the comment left by Shea Justice, it would seem that adults are incapable of having differing viewpoints with out resorting to name calling and insults. Just like Shea, Mr. Elder is entitled to his opinion and it doesn't have to be the opinion that others think it should be.
I commend Mr. Elder for having the nerve to voice an opinion that is unpopular, especially among black people. Anytime anyone is willing to expose themselves to the ire of others for the sake of having their voice heard, that one should be commended. Especially when they don't blatantly insult their audience.
As a Black woman, I share his view of Obama. Smooth talk, a charismatic personality, and celebrity endorsements don't mean that he is the man who SHOULD be president. Yes, he may be elected, but that doesn't indicate in anyway that he is capable of leading this country. This election, unlike any I have seen thus far, has become nothing more than a popularity contest. It wouldn't matter if John McCain had all the right answers, which he does not. The fact is that Obama is likeable on many levels and that is what has gotten him where he is.

If you love America, you'll vote for John McCain! His military background,courage,
character, integrity, honesty and common sense should tell you he's the only one that
should be President!
Obama has no concept of what it takes to run a business, let alone our Country! America
doesn't have time to give Obama on the job training, let alone ‘try' to help him figure out
what it takes to make America prosper! Obama isn't a beacon of hope! Obama is another
disaster waiting to happen! He's never been in military, has no concept of military and wars!
Obama thinks by sitting down with the terrorists, who wants to kill Americans, and discuss
his ‘plans to stop the wars' that he'll create some sort of understanding. Taxpayers know
this is the quickest way to bring about another 9/11, except this time it might be worldwide?
Taxpayers, of all races, have lost respect for Democrats who've done nothing constructive!
The ‘bailout' of Fannie, Freddie, and AIG put the final icing on the cake for bankrupting
America. The disaster started in 1977! Taxpayers have a right to blame Carter, Clinton and
the ‘Tax & Spenders' who've borrowed trillions from foreign countries thus putting
Americans further at risk. Let's not forget about ‘Nafta' and ‘Cafta' and the shifting of
America's jobs overseas!
Taxpayers have been reading about this ‘new movement and more informed voters these
people are calling themselves'. If you think school loans, social and welfare benefits are
going to be a free ride from Obama, let me be the first to burst your bubble. Obama's
pockets are deeper than McCains! So guess which candidate will help you? Time's up!
WON'T BE OBAMA! Millions of dollars just sent to Chicago and you want Taxpayers to
believe that you're more informed?

"Teens & Sex" - It's called "Too many Illegitimates born to single women, by several different men, and they surely will not be "trained or disciplined" at home!" These illegitimate children, of all races, don't have a chance, as they're stuck in an environment that's been created by other illegitimate parents! "It's a way of life!" The more kids they have the more welfare benefits they collect. Welfare was started for a temporary solution and to help those who "Want to work to help themselves!" These illegitimates commit robberies, rape, murder, and eventually wind up in prison! THIS IS TERRORISM ON AMERICAN SOIL & HAS TO STOP! THIS "NO-CHILD LEFT BEHIND" & "WIN-WIN" IS A FIRST CLASS JOKE! Only one (1) out of several thousand will pay attention to someone who really cares about them and will want to change their life! Some of the people (writers & actors) have started speaking out on this, as they are becoming victims! Is it too late to take your neighborhoods back that's infested with the "Hang" on the corners' illegimitates who are producing more illegitimate kids. All these kids are the ones being sent from classrooms because of their violence, abuse & disrespect for the Principals, Teachers & their classmates (this is why so many Teachers are quitting or retiring early). 'FAIR TAX', to include property taxes, should be top priority, so hard-working Taxpayers can put their children and grandchildren into good Christian Schools, before it's too late!
