The Obama Example

Next time you move to another state and need a new driver's license, try this: Refuse to produce the birth certificate or any other personal information required by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Just explain that a facsimile of the required document is posted on your website and give the clerk the domain name.

Tell them: "I'm following the example of President-elect Barack Obama. If he didn't need to produce a birth certificate to establish his eligibility to be president of the United States, why would you require me to produce one to get a lousy driver's license?"

See if it flies.

Your new employer requests a Social Security number to provide the Internal Revenue Service, so the federal government can be sure to grab its share of your money before you ever get a chance to touch it or see it — let alone spend it. Just explain that it would be an invasion of your privacy to give it to the company for identification purposes, since your Social Security number was never intended for that purpose by act of Congress.

Tell them: "I'm following the example of President-elect Barack Obama. If he didn't need to produce a birth certificate to establish his eligibility to be president of the United States, surely you cannot require me to produce a Social Security card to be employed."

See if you get that job.

Better yet, all you illegal aliens out there, apply for any high-security government job. When the agency asks you to prove your citizenship, take the Obama position.

Tell them: "I'm following the example of President-elect Barack Obama. If he didn't need to produce a birth certificate to any controlling legal authority to establish his eligibility to assume the highest office in the land, how dare you ask me to prove my eligibility for this lousy job?"

I don't see how it can fail. Do you?

These are some of the thoughts going through my mind as I sit in bemusement at the prospect of the swearing in and inauguration of the next president two months from now — when a president-elect (assuming the Electoral College gives him the same kind of free pass election authorities and my colleagues in the "watchdog press" have given him to date) takes over the leadership of the executive branch of government.

There's just two months left before we witness one of the gravest attacks ever on the literal meaning of the U.S.

Constitution. Isn't it fitting that a so-called "constitutional scholar" — a former law professor — will be the one to deliver this fateful blow?

At that point, those who subscribe to the theory that we have a "living Constitution," one that means different things to different people at different times in history, will have experienced their crowning achievement — the induction of a president whose very qualification for the office is questioned by millions of Americans who are told they don't have any standing in courts to demand actual proof.

There are only three plausible explanations, I have been able to come up with, as to why Obama steadfastly refuses to produce the portion of his alleged Hawaiian birth certificate that actually shows where he was born and when:

— He doesn't want to do so because he deliberately seeks to undermine the specific constitutional requirement.

— He has something else to hide that would be revealed by making this document public, perhaps.

— He can't because it would show conclusively he was not born in a Hawaiian hospital.

Can anyone think of another reason? I've put that challenge out there for millions of readers and not one has provided another possibility.

Yet, here we are — and here we go.

Personally, I think Obama can establish his eligibility to be president. At the end of the day, I think we'll learn the truth. But, in the meantime, the man likely to become the next president is sure providing an awful example of openness, leadership and citizenship for the rest of us.

Sir;... The ones who call the constitution a living document don't know what they are talking about... As a document, it is a form... As a reality, it is a form of relationship... So what??? Every form is a form of relationship... Every concept we share, like freedom, or trust, or justice, or government is a form of relationship... The numb nuts on the Surpreme Court who want to cast the constitution in lead will destroy it for good... I am with them, because being too difficult to amend, and too easy to get around, and too profitable to interpret unfairly, it should be destroyed... Every form has to serve the relationship it structures.... Ossified, fragile, formalized forms do not last... They are meant to protect people, and every form can, in time grind people to a pulp, -if they lose their flexibility... So you think Mr. Obama is not a citizen??? Citizenship is a simple form.... Do you think the law school or the government does know if he is a citizen??? Well; that would be an ossified form where people can fall through the cracks, and disappear without notice.... You see how the country protected people from 911, or Katrina??? That is a failed form at work... You know; if the form was not your government, which you expect should never change, and instead was your marriage, then you know it would change as your needs changed, or you would trash it, and begin to look for a new form of relationship...No form lasts forever... No economy, no government, no constitution, no marriage is eternal... All forms should have an expiration date...Look at the history of the English Constitution which has never been formally written, and has almost constantly changed to both meet, and to deny the needs of the people... Don't worry about your constitution... If it is not living -as in every relationship, then it is dead, and should be buried... This needs to be done, because the constitution leaves too many out and injures too many people....It was a bold and brilliant failure... To have unity it allowed slavery... To end slavery it demanded civil war.... Stripped of the property of slaves it gave to property ever greater rights until the bill of rights meant nothing... Where is the separation of church and state??? Where is the democracy of the house of representives??? It has slipped away from us, and the failure of the economy is only a symptom of the failure of government to represent our will...Let me compare our government with another form.... Among the Greeks; 150 thousand free men were represented in their highest official body, the Dikasteria, by over a thousand members -to make bribery expensive...Why in this land of so many hundred millions should we have so few representatives in our house to make bribery cheap???We have as a form one badly made, meant to grow to represent us, but kept from growing to lower the price of bribery... Every form is also a relationship, and when people serve themselves instead of the relationship, then the form and relationship are a dead and failed form that people only endure until they can no longer live with it...Trust me on this: WE ARE THERE....Thanks...Sweeney

IT IA AMAZING THAT "EDUCATED" PEOPLE WOULD ASK "IF THE GOVERNMENT KNOWS" WHETHER OBAMA IS A CITIZEN OR NOT .
THE PRINCIPLE OF A REPUBLIC YOU MORONS OUT THERE, IS THAT "CITIZENS" MUST KNOW , NOT "INSIDERS" , NOT "THE MEDIA" AND NOT THE CABAL OF TRAITORS CALLED "THE ESTABLISHMENT".
YOU ARE ABOUT TO TRANSFER YOUR GOVERNMENT TO A PERSON WHO COULD NOT PASS A SECURITY CHECK TO BE A CAPITOL POLICEMAN.
DOES THAT RING ANY INTELLIGENT BELLS AT ALL ????????????
READ THE ROMAN REPUBLIC (THE MOTHER REPUBLIC) FOR ALL IGNORAMUS OUT THERE .
