Shawn Dell Joyce wins New York Press Assoc. Award
Creators environmental columnist Shawn Dell Joyce won second place for Best Column in the New York Press Association's 2008 Better Newspaper Contest. This is a highly competitive contest with more than 4,000 contestants. The newspapers are judged by another state press association with a critical eye for excellence. NYPA sponsors similar contests for college and high-school newspapers as a way of raising journalism standards in the industry.
