This probably ruined any tourism industry along the Ebola River. In fact, the Ebola virus is a lot like the Marburg virus, which was named for a city in Hesse, Germany. This happens a lot. The Norwalk virus may be associated with cruises, but it is named for an altogether pleasant community in Ohio, where it appeared at Bronson Elementary School in November 1968. Turkish Europe: Turkey is the only NATO country with a majority Muslim population. This makes Turkey a valuable ally in the conflict in Iraq, which it borders. But Turkey was originally added to NATO because it bordered the old Soviet Union. Yikes!
