I Say So: You have probably heard that the pope is infallible. But he is only infallible when speaking ex cathedra. And that has only happened twice. Oddly, both times, the pope was clarifying Catholic policy about the Virgin Mary. In 1870, Pope Pius IV declared that Mary had been conceived without original sin. And in 1950, Pius XII defined the Assumption of Mary as an article of faith.

Off With Her Head: In 2002, Princess Anne became the first member of the British royal family to face criminal charges since King Charles I was charged with treason in 1649. But rather than get packed off to the Tower of London, Anne paid a 500-pound fine after her dog Dotty attacked two kids in a park.

Another of Anne's dogs was put down the next year, after ripping apart one of the Queen's corgis.
