Missile Trades: During the Cuban missile crisis, the United States forced the Soviets to back off and remove its missiles from Cuba. Less well known is that the Americans did some compromising, as well. NATO removed its intermediate range missiles from Turkey, which was on what was then the Soviet border. It wasn't the only NATO country on the Soviet doorstep. Norway shared a small border, too, and today, NATO has expanded into such former Soviet republics as Latvia.

Idiots and Morons: The word "idiot" arrived in English in about 1300, having come from a Greek word for people not involved in public life. In other words, the only idiots are non-politicians.

Times, obviously, have changed. The word "moron" was adopted from the Latin by the American Association for the Study of the Feeble-minded, which meant it as a technical definition for an "adult with a mental age between 8 and 12."

Harvey Stephens did a cameo as a tabloid reporter in the 2006 remake of what horror film, in which he'd starred as a child?
