Hello/goodbye update: It turns out there are lot more words besides "aloha" and "shalom" that mean both "hello" and "goodbye". There's "sawatdee" in Thai, "ciao" in Italian, "yasou" in Greek, and "szia" in Hungarian, which is pronounced "see ya!" And we've got one in English, too: "good day." Opened in 1843, Tivoli Gardens, the popular Copenhagen tourist attraction, is the world's second-oldest amusement park still operating. The world's oldest amusement park is the doubly surprising Dyrehavsbakken (literally "Deer Park Hill"). It's also located in Denmark, and is about 200 years older than Tivoli, having been founded by King Christian IV in the 17th century.
