Word of the week: "selvage." Stamp collectors know the word as the surplus margin around a sheet of stamps that is detached before use. The term is also used for the similar border strips at the sides of wallpaper, and the uncut edges of fabric as it comes out of a loom.

There are three "degrees of separation" between Sir Cedric Hardwicke and Cedric the Entertainer. Hardwicke appeared in "The Pumpkin Eater" with British comedic actor John Junkin, who appeared with Edward Herrmann in "Brass Target," who appeared with Cedric "the Entertainer" Kyles in "Intolerable Cruelty."

Several large U.S.
cities are known or have been known as "The Queen City," including Buffalo, Cincinnati and Seattle. Another U.S. city has the nickname of "The Duke City" because:
A) Actor John Wayne lived there
B) It was named for a Spanish duke
C) Duke University is there
D) The Boxing Hall of Fame is there
