The Emmy Awards changed the rules after Ellen Burstyn was nominated in 2006 for Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for a 15-second performance in "Mrs. Harris," about the murder of Dr. Herman Tarnower by Jean Harris. Burstyn had played Harris in an earlier TV movie and had a short cameo as Gerda Stedman, another of Tarnower's lovers.
