Trivia Bits for October 19

Weezer has produced two iconic, innovative videos. When Spike Jonze directed the video for "Buddy Holly," he put the band in Arnold's Drive-In from "Happy Days." With clever editing and special effects, the band interacts with the cast of the TV show. Fonzie even does a dance. Footage of most of the cast is used, and Al Molinaro re-recorded some new dialogue. At first, Anson Williams, who played Potsie, didn't want footage of him used, but David Geffen convinced him.

The other iconic Weezer video is for "Pork and Beans," directed by Mathew Cullen. It debuted on YouTube, which is appropriate, since the video was filled with "YouTube celebrities" who became famous when the clips were passed around as memes. You saw the Afro Ninja, that "Chocolate Rain" guy, the "Evolution of Dance" guy, and references to the Coke-and-Mentos experiment, the Dramatic Chipmunk, the Sneezing Panda and many more.

Herb Ritts directed the sultry black-and-white video for "Wicked Game," in which what singer frolics on a beach with supermodel Helena Christensen?

A) Jacob Dylan

B) Chris Isaak

C) Robert Palmer

D) Robbie Williams

Previous answer: You can find crocodiles and alligators at the southern tip of Florida.
