One of the titans of animation was Isadore Freleng, nicknamed Friz for his frizzie hair. He had been part of the Kansas City clique of animators working for Disney before moving to Warner Brothers, where he was a key person behind such characters as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the Cat and Yosemite Sam. Despite this, Warner closed its animation studio, and Freleng moved on, creating the Pink Panther with his new partner, David DePatie.

Section 28-910 of the Arizona Revised Statutes is known as the Stupid Motorist Law. It says that you have to pay for your own rescue if you cross barricades to enter a flooded stretch of roadway. In this part of the country, with all its deserts, there aren't any storm sewers, so when there are heavy summer rains, you get floods strong enough to carry away cars.
