Q: Please explain the relationship between "All My Children's" Ryan, Kendall and Greenlee. — Renee from Knoxville, Tenn.

A: This love triangle is more like a hexagon. Ryan began sleeping with Greenlee out of lust, not love. Then Kendall and Ryan consummated their relationship, and later got engaged.

A month later, Ryan finds Kendall seducing Aidan in an effort to clear her name on arson charges. Ryan leaves Pine Valley.

Three months pass, and Ryan and Kendall rekindle their love on the roof of Fusion. Kendall regrets her actions, so Greenlee pursues Ryan to try to save the company. Greenlee's efforts prove futile as he and Kendall stick together until New Year's Eve, when Kendall goes back to Aidan.

Ryan and Greenlee retaliate by kissing, but he curbs any further advances. Ryan returns to Kendall, and they renew their engagement. Despite this growing bond, Ryan is forced to admit he has feelings for both Kendall and Greenlee. In the midst of her crumbling trial defense, Kendall accuses Ryan and Greenlee of conspiring, so the engagement once again dissolves.

Soon after, Ryan rescues Greenlee from a mineshaft. The two depart from Pine Valley together for about two months, only to be accosted by Kendall upon their return. Ryan and Greenlee's plans to wed so Greenlee can obtain Fusion are almost wrecked by Kendall. But after a month of marriage, Ryan tells Greenlee he wants to be with Kendall.

As revenge for marrying Greenlee, Kendall sleeps with Ryan's brother Jonathan. Dejected, Ryan goes back to his wife. Tension soon arises between Ryan and Greenlee when he undergoes a vasectomy because he doesn't want to carry on his abusive father's legacy. Greenlee is so determined to become a mother that she secretly impregnates herself with Ryan's sperm. Her actions lead Ryan to fake his death, but he soon returns when he discovers she suffered a miscarriage.

To add to the drama, Kendall agreed to act as a surrogate for Greenlee and Ryan's child, until the parties involved realized the baby is actually Kendall and Ryan's. Ryan once again falls for Kendall, but he doesn't act upon it because he doesn't want to ruin what Kendall has with her new husband, Zach.

Ryan moves on with Annie and her daughter, Emma. The child turns out to be Ryan's via a sperm donation from years ago. Ryan and Annie long to wed, but Greenlee claimed they were not legally divorced. After some conflict, Greenlee lets go, and Ryan and Annie became husband and wife.

Ryan later defends Kendall in a shooting, and his taking the bullet gives him amnesia. He forgets Annie and seeks out Kendall again, but eventually he regains his memories.

And there you have the saga of Kendall, Greenlee and Ryan. The playboy's also been involved with Liza Colby, his former wife Gillian (now deceased) and Mia, and he lusted after Hayley.
