Last month, we mentioned that Edward James Olmos had been in the running for the captain's role on "Star Trek: Next Generation." Canadian actor Genevieve Bujold had actually been cast as Captain Nicole Janeway on "Star Trek Voyager," and even filmed a few scenes, before quitting the series altogether. Going further back, Lloyd Bridges and Martin Landau had been approached to play the captain and Spock on the original series.

You may remember Koo Stark as the woman who dallied briefly with Prince Andrew, at least until it was discovered that she was also a soft-core porn star. But Stark nearly landed a role in a very respectable film. She was cast as Camie, one of Luke's buddies back on Tattoine in "Star Wars." She appeared in scenes at a bar called the Arrowhead, which were all cut out.
