Horoscopes by Holiday for March 22

Just because you can run five miles without stopping doesn't mean you should — at least not until you've conditioned yourself to do so. These types of dilemmas will be featured for the next couple of days as the effects of a tug-of-war game between the sun and Saturn are felt. It's a case of youthful vigor versus the wisdom of age.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). If you're less than satisfied with a situation, don't "eat it." Speak up. Your body language is giving you away, anyhow. The other party knows something's up and may even be relieved when you articulate it.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You'll be working with a small group for a big cause. Your ability to get along with others will be more important than the talent, knowledge, money or connections you bring to the project.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You are always daring in your fantasies, but when it comes to real life, you usually exercise more caution. Today is different. You are a vivacious adventurer in every sense — mind, body and spirit.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You intend to solve problems. You are out to make a positive contribution, not to devalue anyone or prove someone wrong. Choose your focus very carefully, and you will succeed in fixing things.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The meetings that seem to be about money are actually about something else. The figures and decimal points actually mean very little. What matters is the energy that's being exchanged and the feeling that comes with that.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Cooperation isn't the same thing as compromise — at least not always. It doesn't have to mean that each person settles for something other than what he or she wants. Look for ways to operate jointly and still be yourself.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). A group you are involved with is facing a common problem. But instead of coming together to conquer the issue, there may be fighting among the members. Your diplomacy will help to unite and focus everyone.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You have a way of making people open up and reveal more to you than they would normally. That's how you get the inside news. Be careful not to spread it, though, or the communication will be broken.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). People like you, and they're not only willing, but eager to take care of your needs and desires. If they only knew what those needs and desires were! Get clear on them yourself, and then start telling people.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You'll be serving someone with the ego of a dictator.

It's a reminder to keep yourself in check and purge your own selfish tendencies. "That man who lives for self alone, lives for the meanest mortal known." — Joaquin Miller

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It's hard to see who you are without the reality check of a close relationship. It takes another human being to reflect back to you your personality so that you can know yourself.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You want to give in a collaborative way. But the person you are dealing with may be stuck for some reason and unable to give you anything but a good fight. Take the high road. Your manner will be inspirational.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (March 22). Your delicious sense of mischief will land you in the most interesting places this year. And you'll be arm in arm with a fellow instigator of impulsive whimsy. Your laughter rings out through April and May, attracting merrymakers to you. A job pays handsomely in June. A risk in September pays off in October. Aquarius and Sagittarius people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 19, 33, 20 and 11.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I have had a pretty difficult life lately due to circumstances way beyond my control. I believe in positive thinking. But some of the things that have happened to me are nothing short of bad luck. Could it have something to do with having Saturn in my sixth house? Someone told me that."

The sixth house is in charge of your health and daily schedule, those mundane tasks we must perform in order to keep our lives afloat. Saturn is all about life's lessons and the kind of wisdom one can only learn with adversity and experience. Is there something that impedes your ability to go about your daily business? For instance, an unhelpful thought process, low self-esteem, economic hardship or an illness? Is there an oppressive person who has hindered you from living a so-called "normal" life? These kinds of circumstances can be life's biggest blessings. Indeed, history has taught us that the greatest leaders, thinkers and doers often have something major to overcome in life. Therefore, I believe Saturn in the sixth house to be a call to greatness and an indicator of magnificence for those who are willing to take control and overcome life's obstacles, particularly the ones that seem obviously unfair.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon could be a poster girl for the feisty spirit that makes Aries women so captivating. With lucky Jupiter in the sign of the warrior, too, fighting for what she wants brings out the very best in her. Her moon in Capricorn is the sign of a stellar work ethic and business acumen. Mercury and Venus in empathic Pisces is an ideal placement for actors.

I am so happy that this is not about money! There is nothing that I am interested in doing at this time. I need to take my time and check out my body. It has been two years without care. Tanner will start having problems now because Susanne did not cover his behavior and I am angry about that. All this makes my work much harder. I did not want to come back from Austin.

I have no idea what they want me to do but right now I am not interested. All my discussions were left hanging without a reply. I can't work that way. Thanks, yvonne

I'm relieved to hear that Yvonne is okay. I had understood that she was in hospital with kidney problems and would be available only to family for an undetermined time. Perhaps I misunderstood? I sent a letter last week wishing her good health and urging her to take care of herself first, as health is the most important thing. I had assumed it was delivered, but on checking it seems to have gotten lost in the mail. I don't know what happened. Sorry. I'm worried about her health and thought she stated in her last letter that she wanted a break from everything to heal and that I wouldn't be hearing from her? I saw no letters from Yvonne Streety. Maybe I looked in the wrong places? Things have been very confusing and glitchy. I'm concerned for her well being but am unsure what she needs or wants from me. I had assumed that she wanted to be left alone, and it seems now that she does. I don't understand what's happening. If she's lost interest or patience, I understand. Unless I hear from her, I don't know what to do other than assume that she has moved on. I thought she already had. If she needs or wants anything, she is always welcome. I only wanted her to be healthy and happy. Regards,
