FOR RELEASE: SUNDAY, MAY 27, 2012 When you look into the night sky at an object that is 100 light years away, you are essentially looking back in time because what you are seeing is how the object appeared 100 years ago. This same weird sense of time affects your life story. Mercury'…Read more. FOR RELEASE: SATURDAY, MAY 26, 2012 Generosity of spirit can be an intangible quality that people recognize on deeper levels, even if they would be hard-pressed to describe it in concrete terms. The Leo moon changes that, making something as invisible as love seem clear and obvious. …Read more. FOR RELEASE: FRIDAY, MAY 25, 2012 Mercury got a boost of zesty Gemini energy yesterday, which King Neptune, frankly, finds irritating. It could be that Neptune is just jealous of all that youthful vigor, or that Mercury has a tendency to talk "out of school." Either way, …Read more. FOR RELEASE: THURSDAY, MAY 24, 2012 Did things just get more interesting, or have they been interesting all along and we're only just now noticing it? These questions and more will seem relevant as Mercury slips into the quick, bright energy of Gemini, a brilliant placement for the …Read more.

Horoscopes by Holiday for April 30

The exuberance of Mars and Jupiter brings out the overachievers and wheeler-dealers like a game show host who promises fantastic prizes. But will he deliver? With a little luck and a lot of work, we reckon anything's possible. Venus and Neptune soothe our spirits with a song of acceptance: "Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be."

ARIES (March 21-April 19). There's no time to waste attempting to answer the question, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" What precipitated an event is less important than taking action on it here and now.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). There's a timeless place in your mind's eye, begging for your return. Go there — it only takes a few relaxed minutes. The richness of this vision gives you a new lens through which to see the pretty world.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're so darned likable that even your nemesis (if you have one) could go sweet on you now. You won't have to do anything to look good in the eyes of others, but they'll try hard to impress you.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You have more work to do than you know what to do with. Actually, you know exactly what you need to do: speed work. It's kind of like speed dating or speed reading. You quickly go to the core of what needs doing.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Good news — there'll be cinematically fateful encounters with influential people, and you're totally ready. Maybe you don't realize exactly what's going down as it occurs, but you correctly sense its significance.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (April 30). This year, you become a master at fulfilling your own ideas of success. The twists in your plot are remarkable in the next 10 weeks. What you once saw as an invasion of your happiness becomes the cause of it. You surrender to a partner's needs this summer, and the result is rich and lovely. Gemini and Aries people spark your imagination. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 36, 17, 22 and 24.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Restore value to something or someone who needs it. It's not rocket science. It's as easy as polishing silver with the right tools, which you have. Your care and kindness come back tenfold.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Some people aren't the best at expressing their feelings of attraction. Those who've been a real pain are often just trying to say, "I really like you." Remember, you've got charm and people skills. Not everyone else does.

SCORPIO (Oct.

24-Nov. 21). The more you idealize a lover, the better they respond. Isn't that funny? They love being seen in the best light possible. Who wouldn't want to be a better version of him or herself?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Dancing days are here again! The slightest provocation should set you grooving. Evening brings a partner who loves your moves and inspires new ones.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). A funny female has you in stitches. Just in time, too — comic relief is mandatory today, alleviating your tunnel vision and overworked sense of responsibility. Let loose tonight.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Someone could easily fall for your style, not your substance. Oh, well. You can't expect everyone to get the deeper parts of you. Besides, the attention is nice either way.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're in the public eye. This is a result of your gutsiness and willingness to stake your reputation on your cause. Even if this stirs your insecurities, move forward.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I've always felt that I can be indecisive when it comes to events in my life, whether it's as serious as choosing a career, or as insignificant as what to eat for dinner. My mother also died before my second birthday, so I feel as if I've missed steps in my life that others experienced. Is this indecisiveness a part of my personality, or is there some other factor at work? I was born Aug. 10, 1981, at 4:29 a.m., close to Los Angeles."

You know how to make decisions — really, you do. But with Saturn in your sign of "there are two sides to every story" Libra, decisions feel weighty or downright scary. You can obsess over the what-ifs of a choice until you cry uncle and take the path of least resistance. But be assured that everyone feels this way at times, even those with an easier childhood. Life is an experiment. No one ever really knows how a choice will turn out; they just get good at playing their odds. The way to that is by building experiences — choosing and then choosing again. And then you understand the actual consequences of your choices on your life — because you live with them. Dive in!

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Everything about Willie Nelson's life has the making for a great country song. He's loved by his friends and fans as a good ol' boy who'll give you the shirt off his back, especially for a cause — from disaster relief efforts to founding a company that will sell alternative biodiesel fuel to truck stops. Nelson's an earth lover who really cares about his country, so says his patriotic moon in Cancer.
