FOR RELEASE: SUNDAY, MAY 27, 2012 When you look into the night sky at an object that is 100 light years away, you are essentially looking back in time because what you are seeing is how the object appeared 100 years ago. This same weird sense of time affects your life story. Mercury'…Read more. FOR RELEASE: SATURDAY, MAY 26, 2012 Generosity of spirit can be an intangible quality that people recognize on deeper levels, even if they would be hard-pressed to describe it in concrete terms. The Leo moon changes that, making something as invisible as love seem clear and obvious. …Read more. FOR RELEASE: FRIDAY, MAY 25, 2012 Mercury got a boost of zesty Gemini energy yesterday, which King Neptune, frankly, finds irritating. It could be that Neptune is just jealous of all that youthful vigor, or that Mercury has a tendency to talk "out of school." Either way, …Read more. FOR RELEASE: THURSDAY, MAY 24, 2012 Did things just get more interesting, or have they been interesting all along and we're only just now noticing it? These questions and more will seem relevant as Mercury slips into the quick, bright energy of Gemini, a brilliant placement for the …Read more.

Horoscopes by Holiday for April 29

The moon in Libra flutters about, and because the planets are relatively quiet today, she's unfettered by distraction. Air signs, like Libra, are windy and changeable — in one swoop they're capable of wiping out stale or negative energy. So fly your kite, either figuratively or really. Watch the winds carry your worries away and lift your spirit.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You have a tendency to think that if you don't do it, no one will. This is compounded by the fact that you oft forget to include anyone else in your scheme. Let someone in — they ease the load and up the ante.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Surrender to the basic little truths about your relationships. There are inequities in every single one of them — ah, such is life! With a little grace you won't have to stumble every time you encounter one.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). When you're torn between spending time with your sweetheart and shopping with friends, there's only one logical solution for you: Invite everyone. The bigger your plans, the messier, rowdier and happier the day gets.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Switch places. Look at the colorful life you lead from the perspective of someone peering in from the outside. From over there, you get a more expansive view of what you consider your humdrum, everyday self.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Your mind's neither here nor there. One minute you're researching vacation ideas, and the next you're discovering the best thing since sliced bread. Don't rein in your scattershot enthusiasm. It fuels even bigger discoveries.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (April 29). You embrace your possibilities this year and recognize more ways than ever to be happy. June provides raucous entertainment in the places you're supposed to be working. Unassuming souls penetrate your personal firewall in July — this could ignite romance, or put you on the path to a new goal. Scorpio and Sagittarius people feel your emotions. Lucky numbers are: 7, 45, 19, 32 and 5.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). When someone presents you with an urgent need, you reach deep down inside for an appropriate response. Your forthrightness peels back their wolf's clothing so all you see is sheepish insecurity.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). A partner's bold move counters a measured, thoughtful reaction in you. Instead of taking his or her ball and running with it, you recognize that you've got your own set in motion. Both play out at exactly the right time.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You're not the self-denying type, so when a treat tantalizes you, saying "no" simply doesn't enter your mind — unless it competes with another want, in which case you'll have to buy both.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov.

22-Dec. 21). You're not very good at playing the waiting game, but it's one of those days when you just can't wait for something to happen. Consider your anticipation as a sort of prayer. It strengthens your faith muscle.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). A dreamy idea seizes you and impels you to expand the left side of your brain — the part that believes anything is possible and doesn't need to know why. Follow that irrational impulse as far as it takes you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Any wildly good breakthrough will always have a rebound effect. Lottery winners surely encounter a bevy of complications (like estranged relatives). Don't let the smaller problems water down your righteous luck.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). When it comes to figuring out how to safely approach what you see as a giant leap into the future, think less, use your senses more. A solitary or artistic activity leads you to a place of rapport with your visceral responses.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: A tale of two kings —the Scorpion and the Bull — involves two old companions searching for common ground over tea at midweek's full moon in Scorpio. They're no strangers, and they're not meeting at Starbucks either — they are royalty, after all. In ancient Egypt, Horus was a title for "King" (after the Falcon featured celestial God). For centuries, Horus Naram, whose name meant Wild Bull Lord, was known as the prime mover and shaker of Egypt. That is until the royal burial tomb of Horus Scorpion was recently discovered in the ancient city of Necropolis, city of the dead. Pottery fragments and other evidence suggest that it was King Scorpion, not King Naram, who united Upper and Lower Egypt! "Just like a Scorpio, rising from the dead to challenge a tradition," grumbles King Naram. Taurus the Bull is what we know to be safe and true within our own four walls, the part of us that says, "Why change what's worked perfectly well?" The Scorpio part of us knows there's more to the story, sealing it with an epic clincher: "Because it's the truth. Oh, by the way, I'm the new king. Pass the cream." Expect your conversations to have a hint of the royal truth!

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Gentle soul Kirsten Dunst hasn't had to wait very long for things to come to her — but she could. The Bull is nothing if not patient, yet eager Jupiter just keeps opening doors on Dunst's multitalented sun in Taurus. What other 11-year-old girl got to kiss Tom Cruise (in "Interview with the Vampire")? She's sung, modeled, acted and now she's taking a break from it all to study art.
