FOR RELEASE: SUNDAY, MAY 27, 2012 When you look into the night sky at an object that is 100 light years away, you are essentially looking back in time because what you are seeing is how the object appeared 100 years ago. This same weird sense of time affects your life story. Mercury'…Read more. FOR RELEASE: SATURDAY, MAY 26, 2012 Generosity of spirit can be an intangible quality that people recognize on deeper levels, even if they would be hard-pressed to describe it in concrete terms. FOR RELEASE: FRIDAY, MAY 25, 2012 Mercury got a boost of zesty Gemini energy yesterday, which King Neptune, frankly, finds irritating. The moon's transit from helpful Aquarius to spiritual Pisces will remind us of some simple and easy ways we can improve the world — for instance, smiling as you walk down the street or chatting up someone you normally don't talk to. The Gemini sun urges us to reach out, communicate and try new things. You might just start a happiness revolution.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). The chase is thrilling, all right. But to know the art of having and holding, this is a much worthier pursuit. Someone has something to teach you about this high human endeavor.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Going somewhere far away sounds like a good idea to you. You could find a way to swing it, too. Why not? Live while you're alive, someone wise once said.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Ambition is not a bad word, despite what some of your friends say. Not everyone takes life as seriously as you do. Remember that you are unique this way, and sometimes that means striking out alone.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Sometimes you're a slow starter, but once you hit your groove, you're almost unstoppable. It's like a needle on a record. To continue the analogy, the sound of your progress is positively musical.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). To forgive someone for something they willingly did to harm you is one of the most difficult challenges you'll ever face. Still, the sooner you forgive the sooner you'll be free.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Naysayers abound, but you're too smart to run with that crowd. Today it's particularly important to surround yourself with people who love and believe in you. You need them to get where you're going.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You are in love. It might be a person, it might be an idea, but something has taken hold of you like a magnet. You are drawn to it in a way you are powerless to resist. Know it for the gift it is.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Making others feel good about themselves is your goal today. You will be surprised to discover that turning your attention to someone else does wonders for your own sense of well-being. In fact, it works every time.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You're as predictable as the tides. Some might criticize that kind of habitual behavior, but with predictability comes dependability, and you are a rock in that regard. Carry on.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You may have pulled the rug out from under your own feet, but it was only because you needed it for a flying carpet.

This brave move is going to take you to a whole new level.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Isn't it often the case that after the severest of storms comes the most splendid weather? It's like the world hits the reset button and starts over. The storm that just passed is going to leave you feeling brand new.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Not everyone feels the same way you do, even if it seems like your way is the right one. Now is a good time to practice some diplomacy. You have a lot to gain if you move forward with consensus.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (June 3). You'll enjoy the tangible gifts you receive from loved ones and also the intangible boost of confidence and vitality you receive from the universe. You make a hobby of finding answers, one of which will begin a quest. Your connection with someone who adores you will alternately be a source of peace and excitement. Cancer and Leo people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 37, 14, 20 and 19.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "What's the connection between Venus and The Empress card in tarot?"

The Empress in a deck of tarot cards embodies all those qualities for which Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, is known. The Empress is the outward feminine ideal, as well as the anima, which Carl Jung described as the internalized feminine self. She embodies love, life, growth and harmony between men and women. She is nurturing and wise. Her body is fertile, and things just naturally blossom under her care, as evidenced by the lush garden in which she is seated. In addition to being associated with love, beauty and femininity, Venus also symbolizes money and luxury. The Empress in the tarot deck is clearly well cared for financially. She is a queen, after all, and is used to all the finer things in life. Her robes are luxurious, she wears a crown of gold, and she is powerful — the mother of future kings, creator of dynasties. If love and money are what make the world go 'round, then Venus — and, by extension, The Empress — is the ultimate creatrix. Like Mother Earth, all of humanity springs forth from her body. She sustains us with her bounty.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Academy Award-winner, humanitarian and mother of six, Angelina Jolie is a Gemini with Mercury, the communication planet, in the sign of the twins, as well. Her moon, Mars and Jupiter in the fiery warrior planet Aries lend high-energy passion to her natal chart. Her Venus and Saturn in the sign of mothers, Cancer, indicate that her greatest trials and triumphs of love will spring from her maternal role.

Well, we are getting the house in order for the first time since Tanner's birth. Susan, a friend has been helpful with suggestions that make it easier to handle a small child in this second story apartment. I want to get everything in order so P can manage all by herself if I need to go. This will be very hard and she is getting there slowly. HM will know by June 25th if he will need surgery on his hip. I will miss Tanner so much. I wish HM and Tom could have come here but we ran out of time for any of my plans t to work. Timing is very important at this time in our lives. We have only a few years to use this valuable time with a little one. He needs someone home with him everyday. This morning Susan and I took him for a stroller- walk and he learned so much. He showed us good manners at Star bucks and loved the outing. I spent every day with my two children until they started to school. It was the most valuable time We spent. I am sick that I didn't get my reward to get us all together. My plans must have been different. I wanted to get the family all together in one place here or there. We have spent a year trying to understand each other and we aren't there yet. I guess I will give up for time is not kind as we goes on. We do not understand what each other is trying to do. I don't understand lessons or don't understand what you are saying to me. With my children I have given them lots of freedom. I have suggested some several times but that is all. If they want to go forward or let it go I do with my business. If it is their business I back off. I don't pry into their lives. I had people control my life as much as they could and I do not do that with my children. How do you do your children? I give them time to learn even if it is hard on me . Sorry we aren't together.

I could see it all coming together but Tom does not gamble and with two suggestions he thought that was enough. I did not push because I don't want him to start to gamble either. No one in the family drinks more than a glass of wine here or there. HM has set a good example over the years of having a beer with a friend at his place if they want one. I don't drink at all. P has some wine with dinner. I am the one who likes a diet coke, sees candy, plays the lotto but they are not aware that I have any vices or habits. I guess I did a good job of the children. I was ready but a chance will come again, and I can guess all over again....my mother and aunts call this a pie in the sky! Susan says she has two chances to get her a home. To marry an older man or win the lotto and she plays many times a week of every thing. She is funny!! She missed out on one large win in Los Angeles and she had picked out a yellow stucco house with a porch, big yard which has not sold so she is trying again. It is spring time and the weather is nice. Tonight is a Farmer's Market. Tomorrow night is a live band on the Courthouse steps.I just wish HM and Tom where here. We saw boat club close to where P works and HM says that would be fun.....no house big enough! We all have dreams for our families...what is yours?

Oooh, tarot card stuff is neat. I like those mystery books with the tarot theme by Sanford. Actually everything he writes is good (it's not enough to win a Pulitzer, gotta be aces at fiction, too. Prolific people make me jealous!) I like Flowers and Davenport, but Kidd is cool because he's kind of a crook and because he uses his tarot deck to solve mysteries. I always thought that tarot was kind of a chick thing, but I'm surprised by how many guys are secretly into the cards. I always thought I'd like to try my hand at writing mystery books but I always chicken out. Is that something you can start later in life? I guess anything is possible if you work at it. I think there are second chances and second acts in life. Pie in the eye be damned. I guess if i don't meet a man who I know what the hell he is talking about half the time and can understand what he is trying to do who I can support I can try it. I want to make things work but I don't know how to help. I am sad it's not going better. How do the Magician and The High Priestess relate to one another and is this different from how the Emperor and the Empress relate?
