FOR RELEASE: SUNDAY, MAY 27, 2012 When you look into the night sky at an object that is 100 light years away, you are essentially looking back in time because what you are seeing is how the object appeared 100 years ago. This same weird sense of time affects your life story. Mercury'…Read more. FOR RELEASE: SATURDAY, MAY 26, 2012 Generosity of spirit can be an intangible quality that people recognize on deeper levels, even if they would be hard-pressed to describe it in concrete terms. The Leo moon changes that, making something as invisible as love seem clear and obvious. …Read more. FOR RELEASE: FRIDAY, MAY 25, 2012 Mercury got a boost of zesty Gemini energy yesterday, which King Neptune, frankly, finds irritating. It could be that Neptune is just jealous of all that youthful vigor, or that Mercury has a tendency to talk "out of school." Either way, …Read more. FOR RELEASE: THURSDAY, MAY 24, 2012 Did things just get more interesting, or have they been interesting all along and we're only just now noticing it? The fiery Sagittarius sun continues to stir up excitement and wonder on this the first day of Hanukkah, the festival of lights. The first candle on the very special Hanukkah menorah will be kindled in song as the moon moves through the early degrees of spiritual Scorpio. The night has an air of mystery and magic.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You commit yourself to doing the absolute best job with what you have. Others may be just trying to get by. But then they'll see how hard you are working, and this will inspire them to do more.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Sometimes the one who has a novel take on things or can talk about a little-known subject is considered quite interesting — in small doses, that is. As Voltaire noted, "The secret of being boring is to say everything."

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). There's the sudden feeling that you simply must follow your creative muse. This may strike you as funny since it wasn't long ago that you didn't even know this particular muse existed.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). The reason why carts should not be placed before horses is that horses are better at pulling than pushing. Things go well when you take into account the nature of the beast with whom you are working.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You'll enjoy dealing with those who are humble and compassionate. These types often have more reason to boast than the boasters, and yet they remain modest and hardworking.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You will go for the high stakes again. This is a tough game, and there will be many innings. Each time, hope for the best and then resolve to stay calm and play as well as you can whatever happens.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Though you are curious as to what everyone is talking about, some conversations are best avoided, especially the ones that center around gossip and scandal. It's difficult to un-know once you know.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). It's one thing to think something and tell someone about it. It's quite another thing to write your thoughts down. There is magic and power when you commit your ideas to writing.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The distractions you try to set up will not work out. That's because you're supposed to be doing one thing and one thing only. You know what it is, so get to it!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You're pretty good at something, but not great.

You could master this skill and put yourself in a prime position to gain the recognition and money you deserve. Go the extra mile to hone your expertise.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You'll gain confidence as you dedicate yourself to improving your work. You'll notice that the more confident you get the less you care about what others are thinking.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Just because you feel something is true doesn't make it so. Feelings are not facts. The more you accept this the better you will be at staying positive and productive no matter what mood may come over you.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Dec. 2). You'll do terrific work — don't forget to give yourself full credit. Someone who believes in and cares about you will give you praise in January, and a financial bonus follows. The entertainment is excellent in 2011, and your friends facilitate humor, adventure and fun. New technology and skills make life easier in May. Pisces and Gemini people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 2, 11, 19 and 40.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "The fact is, I never learned how to type. Now I just feel that I'm too old to learn. My job has become obsolete, and I realize that to be competitive in today's job market I need to learn new skills. How do I get past this block? I really feel that I'll never be able to type." — Sixty-Year-Old Gemini

I don't know what profession you were in or what job you want, but I do know that as a Gemini, your ruling planet, Mercury, will endow you with the mental and physical agility to type like the wind. The communication planet loves everything to do with getting a message across. Your real fear is the fear of learning and the fear of change. You've worked yourself into quite a state, and the more you worry about these things the harder they become. You quite simply need to knock it off. Typing is easy. Some monkeys can do it. So tell that voice inside your head to take a nap while you get a tutorial, find a computer and get to work. It won't take much research to find a method you like, and the help you need may very well be free — inquire at your local library.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Did you know that fiery Sagittarian pop sensation Britney Spears holds several records in the "Guinness World Records"? She is the most searched person, the youngest female artist to have five albums reach No. 1 on the music charts and the fourth best-selling artist in music history. Her Aquarius moon indicates that she's also a philanthropist whose charity will do great good in the world.

The Raven

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more."

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore -
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore -
Nameless here for evermore.

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me - filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating,
"'Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door -
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; -
This it is, and nothing more."

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
"Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you"- here I opened wide the door; -
Darkness there, and nothing more.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore?"
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!" -
Merely this, and nothing more.

Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
"Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice:
Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore -
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; -
'Tis the wind and nothing more."

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door -
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door -
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore.
"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the Nightly shore -
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning- little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blest with seeing bird above his chamber door -
Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as "Nevermore."

But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered- not a feather then he fluttered -
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "other friends have flown before -
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before."
Then the bird said, "Nevermore."

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
"Doubtless," said I, "what it utters is its only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore -
Till the dirges of his Hope that melancholy burden bore
Of 'Never - nevermore'."

But the Raven still beguiling all my fancy into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust and door;
Then upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore -
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamplight gloated o'er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamplight gloating o'er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!

Then methought the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose footfalls tinkled on the tufted floor.
"Wretch," I cried, "thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he hath sent thee
Respite - respite and nepenthe, from thy memories of Lenore:
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil! -
Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted -
On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore -
Is there - is there balm in Gilead? - tell me - tell me, I implore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil - prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us - by that God we both adore -
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore -
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore."
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

"Be that word our sign in parting, bird or fiend," I shrieked, upstarting -
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken!- quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted - nevermore!

Good Morning and Welcome Back Holiday! You were missed yesterday. I myself went missing for a moment to think some deep thoughts and to think some light hearted ones too. I feel both relaxed and focused. So much happened inside me over the last couple of days. What celestial events precipitated this transformation? I feel like laughing AND working. Will this trend continue? Thanks!

Sounds like you could use some ginger ale for your stomach. Are you nervous, or stressed? Lots of people will be supporting you tomorrow. Dont be unhappy about xmas, lots of people love you and are wishing you a joyful season. Its not about the stuff, ifs about the friends you love enough to indulge. If you have people like that in your life, thats the best gift. Or so say I, the sick cheerful one who loves to spoil the people that I love. Ill spoil you too and give you everything you want for xmas. Have some ginger ale and crackers and look forward to all the gifts that are coming your way!
