In astrology and astronomy, when two celestial bodies seem from our point of view on Earth to be very near to each other, it's called a conjunction. The bodies cozying up today are the sun and Mercury, who align in Libra to bring harmony, beauty and justice to all, but especially to those Libra people who celebrate a birthday this week.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Whilst hosting, you might be going for fun and fabulous, but what really comes through is your sweet warmth. You care about your loved ones and want to fill their lives with beauty.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You don't practice what you preach, because you don't preach! You've made it a policy to let your actions speak for themselves. Because of this, you'll impact the world in a positive way.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Everyone needs to feel a sense of belonging. You home in on the exact way to do this: You participate. You get involved and quickly feel that you are very much a part of everything that's going on.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You wish and dream. That's a start. What you want will take a lot of work. But if you don't get to the work today, the dreaming and wishing part is important, too.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Make a list of your accomplishments. Maybe it's egomaniacal, but indulge yourself anyhow. It will put you back in touch with your strength, and you'll actually act less out of ego than you would without this touchstone.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I feel like I'm on the outside and no one is respecting me. I send e-mails to people, and it takes them forever to e-mail me back. I make requests, and they are ignored. The worst part is that I'm actually quite an accomplished person both professionally and personally — on paper, that is. But in real life, I can't feel any of the successes I have. Regardless of your astrological sign, I can tell you that it is not uncommon for individuals, myself included, to experience a crisis of spirit from time to time. If these feelings of worthlessness go on for long stretches, however, you would be wise to talk with a doctor, clergyperson or counselor, or seek other trusted guidance. When I go through such states, it helps me to draw on the energy of both Capricorn, which deals with your public standing and issues of respect, and Pisces, the sign of spirit. CELEBRITY PROFILES: John Mayer is officially a Twitter quitter. This Libra music man sent a final tweet to 3.7 million fans, but the communication will continue through his music. His open-minded Sagittarius moon indicates a fondness for new methods of expression — he'll always be willing to try them out. His Saturn, the hard lessons planet, in Leo, the sign of entertainment, gives him a knack for public controversy.
