Big Daddy Jupiter and stern taskmaster Saturn challenge each other from across the heavens. Jupiter is in Aries and is very concerned with money and power. Saturn is in Libra and is all wrapped up in the legalities, not to mention the justice, of every play. We will be reminded often in the weeks to come: Relationships are what matter.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). There are some painful pieces of your history that you cannot seem to work up a single tear about. It's over, and you've accepted that and made peace with it on a deep level. The past can no longer hurt you.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Critical thought can be draining. For long moments, you will be able to walk the world in unconditional love, without the burden of having to judge those around you.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're not in this alone — your situation is shared with others. You can talk about what the truth of the situation is. It will be interesting to learn the different points of view on the same occurrence.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). It will take time for you to change a habit — not because the process is lengthy, but because you have not conserved enough of your personal power yet to make the break. You're on the path, though, so don't give up.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You'll be handed an odd set of supplies. Part of you will wonder what people expect you to do with this hodge-podge of raw materials. Then again, maybe you can create your dream of heaven out of these ingredients.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). The same daily rituals that usually make you feel grounded and normal may suddenly produce a feeling of boredom or restlessness instead. Shake things up a bit and your enthusiasm returns.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You'll arouse curiosity. It could be something you say or an action you take that catches people off guard. Once you've piqued the interest of your subjects, they will follow you with rapt attention.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). There's a mood around you — a feeling emanating from your very being. Objectivity will be difficult. That's why you should ask someone to take your picture. You'll see in the picture what you can't see in the mirror.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There is a problem that must be solved, and you can't do it alone. Get a mentor. Put the word out that you need help, and you will be surprised at who will respond.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). When someone makes a mistake, it is reasonable to become upset about it.

But how you become upset will make the difference between a successful interaction and a disappointing one. Stay rational and creative.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You probably see the situation differently from your friend. With great tact, you'll express your views. Then, with an open mind, you'll hear the other person's. You'll find many points of agreement.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You'll revisit an old goal. Perhaps you just weren't committed enough to it in the past, but you may be ready now. If not, you can get ready fast — an inspiring occurrence will help you do so.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (August 16). Your ambition is an exciting quality that attracts passion and friendship. The more you follow your hopes and dreams the better life becomes. Invest in yourself in September. The one you want to wow will be suitably impressed. You'll have more to spend in February. A move or renovation happens in March. Cancer and Libra people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 18, 5, 15, 42 and 16.

ASTROLOGICAL INSIGHTS: Beyond the 12 Signs of the Zodiac: Aries through Pisces may be our favorite characters to keep track of, but they are not the only stars in the sky. For instance, what about the lovely constellation Cassiopeia? Just opposite of the big dipper, five bright stars outline Cassiopeia, giving it an easily recognizable W shape. Cassiopeia is also called "the sitting queen." In Greek mythology, Cassiopeia was queen of Ethiopia. She was very vain and would boast that she was even more beautiful than the daughters of the great sea god Poseidon (Roman name: Neptune). To teach Cassiopeia not to be such a braggart, Cassiopeia's own daughter, Andromeda, was tied to a rock to be eaten by a sea monster. Andromeda was saved by Perseus, who spotted the young maiden in distress while making his way home from slaying Medusa. It's no surprise, then, that the ruler of Cassiopeia is Mars, the planet of fighting and swords and rushing headlong into the fray. Mars also rules the zodiac sign of Aries, the warrior - hotheaded and passionate and sometimes impulsive and honest like a child, innocently saying too much and getting into trouble. The moral of the story: Don't brag. And, if you do, watch out for nasty sea monsters!

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Both Ben Affleck and his younger brother, Casey, are Leos. Was there a sibling rivalry when these two talented cats were mere kittens? Those born under the sign of Leo love to get the lion's share of attention. However, this sign is also noted for overflowing generosity and a strong protective instinct. As long as a Leo's needs are taken care of, he will be uncommonly giving to everyone around.
