The Scorpio sun takes us on a journey to the center of our own soul. Self-discovery is not entirely selfish, though, since it helps us relate to others. As we learn more about who we are, we are better able to recognize what others are going through.…Read more.

Horoscopes by Holiday, Week of May 24This is a week of reversals. First Neptune goes retrograde, and then Mercury goes direct. The boat will rock, and staying balanced will require a series of adjustments. As with cases of seasickness, one remedy is to stay focused on the distant horizon — that far-off place where ocean meets sky. It's helpful to choose to see the future as a beautiful destination. Fix your vision there to calm your mind and steady your heart. ARIES (March 21-April 19). Relationships take center stage this week, and it's not always a romantic song-and-dance number that gets the spotlight. Just remember that when there's tension between you and a loved one, it really doesn't matter who is wrong or right; it only matters what works. Thursday, you'll find a way for you both to be happy. TAURUS (April 20-May 20). So, you want true love. But are you a true lover? Can you forget about the things you wanted love to be and accept the surprising variety of ways that love actually appears? If you can do this, you'll succeed in sharing a deep, meaningful and joyful connection with someone this week. GEMINI (May 21-June 21). There's nothing like grabbing a fruit from the tree of knowledge and gobbling it down. Information excites you. The way it all fits together is mind blowing. You'll want to discus your findings, but this could be a buzz kill. Not everyone shares your sense of discovery. Discuss only with those who will understand. CANCER (June 22-July 22). Everyone wants something different. Here's how you can avoid selfishness: Don't assume that others want what you want. This is also the key to your success. Pluck your desire from the shelf without hesitation or doubt. If you wait to see whether anyone else is going for what you want, it will be too late. Act with urgency. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). There are successful characters around you, and you'll be tempted to compare yourself. Are you advancing or going backward? With you, as with planets, it's a matter of perspective. Planets are never really going backward, it just looks that way from earth — and the same is true with you. Point of view is everything. THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAYS: You'll feel younger because you become mentally lighter than you were last year. The change comes almost immediately — things that would have bothered you before no longer hold sway over your life. Over the next seven weeks your relationships improve. You see the world from your loved one's perspective. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You learn through socializing. The way you relate to some people may surprise you. For instance, you may tell a perfect stranger a secret or downplay one of your proudest accomplishments. Also, your reaction to different kinds of social situations may clue you in to aspirations you didn't even know you had. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). In some regard you've been frustrated. You haven't been able to create one of the changes you desire. This week you wisely realize that if you want a different result and outcome, you have to come from a different place. It's all about perspective. Gather information that will help you see the problem differently. SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You'll experience a favorable shift in your thinking, and it opens reserves of great intuition. You can even see the future if you put your mind to it, though it will probably be more helpful to look back and understand the past, or deepen your awareness of the present so that you may get more out of your life. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You feel that you were always meant to share your heart, and now it is possible to do that in an extremely satisfying context. This could be a romance for the ages. Maybe eventually you will make the details of your romantic life public, inspiring others. But for now, the thrill is retained in your own private world. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). What would happen in the course of your perfect week if money were no object? Take a break from your usual cost-consciousness. Too much awareness on finance may inhibit your imagination. Besides, there is always a way to get things at a better price, and this is especially true on Thursday and Friday. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You and someone you care deeply about have had a case of missed timing lately, but fret not. You may not be on the same page as one another, but you really are in the same book. One of you will speed up and the other will slow down, and you'll finally be back in sync by the weekend. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Do everything you can to expand your perspective. Do not let your happiness get blocked by a nasty case of tunnel vision. Your opportunities are mostly outside of the tunnel! Let go of needing things to go a certain way, and accept the way the situation is unfolding naturally. All is working for your highest good. Holiday Mathis is the author of "Rock Your Stars."
